What an interesting report. I got from that that the UK have been decisive in saying no. The USA were already starting action to say no. The EU were going to say no but were waiting for concessions from Microsoft (in brown envelopes?). Microsoft now say they favour business in the EU.

Games are big business. And the UK prides itself on being a major player. But I fail to see the problem if one player developer/marketer controls the market…

For industries and sectors that really matter, I understand very well. But I can’t get worked up over cartels for the digital equivalent of paper clips, rubber bands and shuttlecocks…

Gaming is worth $221.4 billion and expected to hit $521 billion by 2027, hardly paper clips and shuttlecocks...
