What do you mean Brexit delivered on the UK leaving the EU? Northern Ireland is still in the EU following its trade rules and regulations and is under EU jurisdiction -- what are you talking about? NI is following some EU rules - that doesn't mean it is in the EU. The rest of the UK could also choose to follow some EU rules (several have suggested just that) - but that wouldn't make us EU members. Other countries outside of the EU follow some EU rules - for Example Montenegro follows EU financial regulations and uses the Euro, but it still remains a candidate country outside of the EU. Exactly.

I once traveled on O'Leary's revolting cut price airline, never again. It is no business of O'Leary's what the UK electorate choose to do, does he seriously think that we should stay in the EU in order that he can make more money from his bottom of the league airline? He should go back to Ireland and trade within the EU, but wait, the UK is where he makes his profits, I hope all those who are relieved not to be in the EU refuse to go on his airline and choose a UK airline instead.

You're arguing against a point I am not making. I have never claimed that Northern Ireland is a member of the EU. What I claim is that it is IN -- i.e., part of -- the EU by virtue of the fact that it is subject to EU trade rules and regulations and is to a great extend under the jurisdiction of the ECJ.

Yes. He obviously thinks that we should stay in the EU so he can make more money from his bottom-of-the-league airline. That's fair enough, isn't it?

That NI is a member of the EU is, indeed, a false claim. That's why I have never ever claimed it. One unsolicited advice that would serve you well: you should not invent issues when trying to correct your mistakes. So you now accept that the UK is not a member of the EU ie the UK has left the EU. Well done. You should take your own advice and stop making false claims then pretend that you never made false claims in the first place .π What a senseless, vacuous remark! ^

So you claim that NI is β inβ the EU (ie a member of the EU ) but not a member of the EU? As I said , you are clutching at straws. The UK has left the EU . Brexit has been achieved. There has been a compromise regarding NI because a hard border with Eire is not politically desirable. NIs membership of the EU only exists in the bitter minds of ex remainers . π

So stop doing it.

Northern Ireland is not part of the EU, claiming that it is, would be as false as claiming that Iceland, Norway or Liechtenstein were in it just because they have some agreements with the EU.

Gnome thinks he's winding Brexiteers up with his one trick topic all the time. He's only winding himself up though and his obsession has consumed him. Moral to the story folk: don't be a bad loser.
