The way the man puts it makes me LOL. So, as old, unicorn hunting Brexit fundamentalists die off, the road to a Norway or Switzerland style arrangement would be paved a by new, young, fresh, open-minded, realistic, pragmatic, forward looking generation of British Europhiles? Yay! At the time, I thought that continuing EEA membership was the intention. Freedom of movement was a stumbling block, granted, but EEA membership was a reasonable starting-point for negotiating that away. The Great Remain Lie (remain-and-reform) was always a non-starter, but remain-in-the-EEA-and-reform was surely feasible. You and the boss of Ryanair could make the case more easily if you didn't demonise Brexiteers, as it's perfectly compatible with supporting Brexit. Still, thanks for classing me as "new, young, fresh, open-minded, realistic, pragmatic and forward-looking". gnome said: Meh! The opinion of people who say "would of", "should of", "could of" can not be taken seriously.
Don't be silly. Remain-And-Reform was not and is not a lie. Highly arguable proposition, maybe, but never a lie. There's a difference. If you're young and you can't and don't want to make that distinction then you can't class yourself "fresh, open-minded, realistic, pragmatic and forward-looking". You'd be more a member of the "new, young, low-expectation-poverty accustomed, apathetic generation of British "ingenues"". I know. Silly, isn't it? Who says things like "would of" instead of "would have" but those whose opinions can not be taken seriously? I mean, why would you insist on deliberately mangling your own language as though it was sensible thing to do?

Anyone who uses that ad hom fallacy shouldn’t be taken too seriously.

Will you stop putting out confused, irrelevant arguments? Please! I mean, just look at this ^ -- what does this have to do with the statement of fact that trading with far away countries is less environmentally friendly than trading with the EU? Nothing. That statement of fact is not a criticism of the EU or of Brexit or, indeed, of far away countries. The trouble with you and your Brexit fundamentalist friends is that you're such snowflakes when it comes to your beloved Brexit that you all have a meltdown, either individually or collectively, at the slightest but factual criticism of your creation. You can't handle the truth about Brexit so you turn ultra-defensive, invent things, redirect or deviate from the discussion, blah, blah, blah and when someone calls you out, you lose confidence and start running around hitting the critic rather than the critique. You blame me for putting out confused , irrelevant arguments then post confused waffle. You post bitter nonsense about ‘ beloved Brexit ‘ because YOU hate it. Brexit was an event, it happened, it can’t be beloved, it’s a fact . Now the ex remainers have a pre Brexit mindset and can’t accept that they lost. That’s why you posted a comment about trading with far away countries without realising that we buy so much from China and still trade with the EU. Your last sentence is pure projection and quite laughable. You lost, we are out if the EU. Deal with it . Meanwhile …..😂😂😂 Yeah, yeah, "bitter, bitter, bitter ex remainers!" Heard it all before. Can you say something relevant and substantive for once?

Ex remainers living on past ‘ glories’. Who’d of thought it ? Meh! The opinion of people who say "would of", "should of", "could of" can not be taken seriously. He can be taken seriously, just needs education on a minor point of English. As opposed to you, who needs educating on major points, such as direct democracy can be bypassed at your own peril.

What are you on about? Explain yourself.

One says "direct democracy can be bypassed...." The other says "Not if bypassing democracy gets you all first..." How can you bypass democracy -- direct or indirect? BTW, I'm just curious -- you don't have to answer this -- are you and B&W the same poster?

I don't care if a poster has 2, 3, 4 5 forum personas. For a second, it did cross my mind that you might be one and the same but as I told you, I was just curious to know. A simple "No" would have sufficed to sort out my curiosity. You didn't even have to acknowledge the question. Sheeshh!

As was once pointed out for you, you can have different equations which should still lead you to the same answer.

You were trying to be insightful by stating the obvious. It didn’t work . You should have/ or realised that before you opened your ‘ offing ‘mouth.😁 You have nothing but bitter resentment . I like that in an ex remainer.👍 I was not trying to be insightful. I am insightful. I don't want to burst your bubble, but if there is one thing you most definitely are not, that is "insightful". Finding articles on ONE fucking topic, rinse & repeat while regurgitating buzzwords/phrases used in them, is not insightful. Not in the least. Your education isn't very bright judging by your definition of insightful. Millennials eh? However, you get an A in arrogance.

Why, what? Not that I care but I didn't know it had already been asked and answered. Actual fact is, this is the first time I have ever asked a poster if he or she had multiple user names. Anyway, enough of that "multiple forum personality disorder" -- back to the substantive question: How does one bypass democracy?
