I can remeber the day this story broke light mate. Some of my mates had called in for a morning cuppa when it came on the news. One of them punched the kitchen wall with such force the light switch shot acoss the room. Both he and his parner had been trying for years for an offspring.

This sounds like a case of Cannabis induced dissociative disorder, possibly aggravated by the use of anti-anxiety drugs/medication (a Bezodiazepine?). The sky's the limit as far as behaviour is concerned when people get into using cannabis, benzos, and alcohol in combination. Back in the 90s I knew a woman who was in the habit of suddenly attacking elderly people and infants in the street. On more than one occasion the police took her to the local hospital ... where, after a chat with a psychiatrist, they let her go! After one such incident I went to the local police station and queried why they didn't arrest her. The reply was that on an occasion when they had she'd kicked a cop in the balls. Their attitude was that her behaviour wasn't a police matter. She did eventually end up in a hospital psychiatric ward after a father had grabbed her arm and broken it when she attacked his infant in a pushchair. She got thrown out of the hospital after a couple of weeks (her section was cancelled) because they couldn't control her and considered her to be an addict. Locals called her "Satellite Sue". She once said to me: "I'm not mad enough for them to help me." She eventually died of a benzo plus alcohol overdose.

I'm sure that prisoners all over the country are hoping for this pair to arrive so they can give them a welcome kicking.

I'm sure that prisoners all over the country are hoping for this pair to arrive so they can give them a welcome kicking. Their time in prison is unlikely to be a pleasant one. They will most likely be segregated from the other prisoners and subject to constant threats of violence at any opportunity. My sympathy for their plight is on a par with the amount of concern I might harbour for a cockroach climbing the wall. In fact, I'd definitely have more sympathy for the cockroach.
