Here’s a question for you. Why does pig shit smell so much like cooked pork? Does it ? My only experience is of the “no longer commercially viable” breeds at the community farm i was a founder of when it was first set up (they passed a hat around, i chucked them £20) and this wasn’t something i noticed … Yes it does. In my neck of the woods there are thousands of pigs. When you drive past the fields where they live there is a sweet shitty aroma that has a whiff of cooked pork. Same as when the farmers spread pig shit on the fields. I suspect that fresh pig shit hides the smell. I will leave it there. |

In tonight's Evening Standard, the Animal Rights Activists who attempted to stop the Grand National Race are now complaining they were, Brutalized by the Police and Security Guards
In a video posted on the group’s social media, those involved alleged they had been pepper-sprayed, grabbed, sworn at and laughed at by officers.

To be fair I think most people just want to go about their daily lives and their chosen sports and professions without disruption by those who cannot accept that the democratic process has not allowed their personal views to prevail. There has been a measure of disbelief that the police have been hamstrung from clearing roads and removing protestors by some niceties of law or over consideration for the well being of protestors. Brutality is not the watchword but positive action is. |

When it comes to anti social eco morons who block roads and stop people going about their lawful business (which is against the law btw) the difference between European police and British police is quite stark. When these morons attempted to block traffic in Europe, the Police in Spain France and Italy practically beat them up. In Italy when the morons glued themselves to the road, the police literally ripped them off the road slapped the handcuffs on and arrested them, and quite right too.
Compare that to this country. When morons blocked the Kingsbury oil terminal in Birmingham, the police sat on the ground and sympathetically chatted with them as the huge terminal was brought to a standstill. On the M4 the police supplied the morons with drinks. On the M25 the police arrested bystanders who were shouting at morons who were blocking traffic.
I'll be honest, I don't blame the morons. They know the politically correct British police are more concerned about unconscious bias & gender inclusion training than enforcing the law. No I don't blame the morons, I blame the police.
