No you are quite wrong. As far as entitled outraged lefties are concerned, there are never two sides. People are 'forced' to hear about the deaths of horses constantly from these meetings and cannot do a thing to stop it. How many wild horses die prematurely each year after breaking a leg? Think about this, because without human intervention it still happens. But there's no vet to put it out of its misery.

Thousands lived in luxury. Those who lost their jockey continued to happily run and jump and we know where your opinions come from. Horses are herd animals and follow the herd, that's why they keep running it does not mean they are 'happy'. The majority of those that live in 'luxury' as you put it only do when they can make money for their owners, after that most of them are dumped and live out their lives in squalor, those that are not put to sleep that is. Red … We would all like to live in a ‘happy clappy world’ where everyone roamed free🍭🌈 … and nothing was confined by boundaries … and nothing ate nothing, … and even plants have RIGHTS … they are measured to ‘feel’ emotions too … according to scientists. Get real … the world isn’t like that … and never will be. How do you know how a horse ‘feels’ on Race Day, Red??… have you got the psychology and empathy to be a horse??🤔 🤣😂 Clearly some here know nothing about the Racing industry or the function of using a whip in a horse race where a horse begins to ‘wander’ or ‘lose focus’ and might be a danger to other horses or riders lining up to make a jump … or on the Flat … pushing another horse into the rails. Excessive use of the whip - which damages a very expensive animal - is seriously frowned on and regulated - punished by the Racing Authorities … so ‘animal lover activists’,that likely eat meat here, need to stop making stupid Guardianista-cloned ill-informed speeches about “whip abuse” in order to push the banning of Horse Racing. …. hey, shallow brainless morons … ban everything … and don’t even eat plants you hypocrits … because plants are ‘hurting’ when you cut them … and they ‘BLEED’. Don’t you WOKE know that??🙄 🤡 Clowns.

Running is an essential part of a horse's life. Sure there are assholes who don't care about their horses same as there are people who ever look for a cause to rabble about. Running is an essential part of a horse's life to escape from danger, they do not deliberately head for high fences to escape from predators, remember they cannot see over the fence. Horses usually live in places that are wide open were speed is a life saver.

The horses died because they started late and were trying to make up the time, do us a favour.😂 I notice the crowds shouting and screaming is not mentioned though.

No one is trying to stop horse racing, just the jumps and if you knew anything about horses you would know that it is not something they do unless absolutely necessary in the wild. Would you jump over a wall without checking what's on the other side first?

Would you jump over a wall without checking what's on the other side first? So how much do you know about horse racing? Do you watch it? Have you noticed that these horses are trained to know what is the other side of a fence? Have you ever noticed that the jockeys take their mounts to a fence prior to a race, in order they can see what's on the other side? Do you realise that a horse is aware that he's about to race, that it knows the pre-race procedure so well it knows what is about to happen and that when the procedings are disrupted by those with your mentality, it will affecty its actions, it's why many trainers returned their horses in order to change their attitude, loosen their girths to stabilise them. Oh and horses don't just run to get away from predators.

Oh and horses don't just run to get away from predators. They are horses, you are crediting with the intelligence of humans. Of course they take them to look at the fence, that is for our benefit not the horses. Horses quite regularly do a steady paced gallop when not in serious threat from predators, they do a 'forced' gallop to escape from predators. A horse knows something is 'wrong' when it about to race but it does not understand that the aim of the race is to beat the other horses, again a human trait. Change a horses attitude that's what you do with children, could try putting it on the naughty step.🤣

That's wild horses, these are not. They are forced to jump over fences which is something they would rarely do except in the movies. The infamous Becher's brook has been extensively modified to reduce the risk of horse fatalities and at that jump, there hasn't been a horse fatality in 11 years. Animal rights activists invading Aintree and panicking the horses have caused a fatality. The correct response is to petition the management, and government, not to invade a race track and scare the horses.

If animal rights activists can panic the horses so can the crowds that shout and scream while the race is going on. They have been petitioning to have jumps stopped for decades. The horses are scared when they are forced to gallop why do you do think they are forced to wear blinkers?

The only way to eliminate all risks is to not race. That is what the animal rights activists really want. I've encountered some people who think all forms of horse riding are animal abuse!
