A "sharp increase" in cases of diphtheria in the UK and across Europe has been linked to small boat crossings, research has found. Scientists at the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) said the new outbreaks across the continent over the last 12 months have been "mostly linked to incoming illegals". It comes as more than 1,100 illegals have crossed the Channel in the past week, a record for the year so far. Diphtheria is a contagious infection and can be fatal, but is rare in the UK due to a vaccination programme for babies and children which has been in place since the 1940s. news.sky.com/story/sharp-increase-in-uk-diphtheria-cases-linked-to-small-boat-crossings-research-shows-12855805But not to worry, doctors may be on strike and the NHS stretched to breaking point, but that doesn't mean illegals will miss out. You can bet that after being chauffeured to their four star accommodation, at a cost of £7 million a day, they will be greeted by medical staff who are also paid for by me and you, and of course left wing charities will be on hand to hand out mobile phones at a cost of £60 million a year and pocket money at a cost of £160 million a year. And lets not forget the £500 million the government have paid the French to stop illegals crossing the channel! Cost of living crisis? Not if you're a diseased illegal.

It does give the conspiracy theorists plenty of ammunition and we all know that yesterday's conspiracy theory is today's reality.
