SNP plunged into turmoil: Desperate plea for unity as own politicians threaten to stop funding party Story by Dan Falvey • Yesterday 12:12 Asenior SNP MP has pleaded for the party to "come together" after some politicians were left furious over claims central funds may pay the legal bill of Nicola Sturgeon's husband Peter Murrell. The former chief executive of the party was arrested last week as part of an investigation into financial mismanagement of SNP funding.
New Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf warned over the weekend that the party may have "obligations" to cover the legal costs of Murrell's defence, given that the police investigation relates to when he was directly employed by the SNP.
Several MSPs are claimed to now be threatening to withhold their £250-a-month membership subscriptions in protest.
The revolt is the latest turn in an internal saga that has seen unity within the SNP collapse.
Speaking this morning, the party's former Westminster leader, Ian Blackford, issued an appeal for MPS and MSPs to stick together through the difficult period.

It's not good for any party to have an overwhelming majority, but it's up to voters who, hopefully, have plenty of good information.
The Tories seem to have lost gravitas with its leader's plea to vote for anyone who'd unseat the SNP candidate. So it looks like Scottish Labour's chances could be improving, which could, ultimately, help Labour in the next general election...

But thanks to starmer labours lead in the polls is now at their lowest position in England and is the smallest since Rishi Sunak became PM just a mere 14%

14% is a lot. Blair won on a 12.5% lead in 1997.
But, I don't trust polls.
There were polls in 1990 which put Labour 23.5% ahead but by 1992 had narrowed considerably.

I don't do polls either mate but the usuals do when it is in their favour.......Funny tho they never seem to report it when they lose a few points.

Is that any different from the Tory propagandists who proclaim from the rooftops any opinion poll movement that knock a points or two off the Labour Lead…? PS: I’m sure we can wait for a response until you’ve searched through your Daily Mail files/briefings…
