What are you talking about we do not take that sort of asylum seekers in this country, any other immigration is down to the government of the day, you know them, the ones that are not building enough houses to cope with our own citizens. That is the point, we are not building enough for our own citizens and we are allowing an enormous influx of legal and illegal immigration not to mention refugees from Hong Kong, Afghanistan and Ukraine. Yet if we call for strict control of immigration we are ignored and called racist by many in the official opposition who, let us be clear, would not change anything other than build more houses and allow in more immigrants. Perhaps if the left were clear in their policies it would help. So far it seems to be allow as many refugees in as need or prefer to come in to the UK, build more houses for everyone. Now perhaps I am being cynical but I can see major problems with that policy as regards the environment and the seeking of net zero. What 'enormous influx' do you mean the billions Braverman is prdicting?

What impact is increasing the population by 1 million every 4 years going to have on demand for housing? What are you talking about we do not take that sort of asylum seekers in this country, any other immigration is down to the government of the day, you know them, the ones that are not building enough houses to cope with our own citizens. It doesn't matter whether they enter the country illegally in a rubber boat or legally first class on Concorde - they will still be increasing demand for housing. As no Party wants more housebuilding then the only long-term solution is population reduction. Which would also be a massive benefit to the UK drive to Net Zero.

While going back to coal. Stupid Germans. Some years ago Germany closed its coal-fired power stations and relied on mainly France to supply nuclear produced electricity while it built more coal fired power stations.......Crazy.

What 'enormous influx' do you mean the billions Braverman is prdicting? You do not regard 1.1 million as an enormous influx which excludes hidden illegal migration and those currently residing in hotels and camps as 'asylum seekers'. As regards Braverman's 100 million can I just ask what is there to actually stop them if they so wanted to, and it seems that the world is on the move and many want to come here.

Illegal immigration is something the Tories should be dealing with but they are not and it appears quite deliberately. Hidden immigration is something the Tories should be dealing with but they are not and it appears quite deliberately. This is where the problem lies with people like you, you class asylum seekers coming over in small boats as illegal immigrants, thereby lumping them in with the real illegal immigrants already in the country. The government are purposefully allowing this attitude to seep through society, and the idiots fall for it every time.

This is where the problem lies with people like you, you class asylum seekers coming over in small boats as illegal immigrants, thereby lumping them in with the real illegal immigrants already in the country. The government are purposefully allowing this attitude to seep through society, and the idiots fall for it every time. You are not following, the fact the government are not doing what they said they would is a democratic problem, and they said they would limit immigration to tens of thousands and instead have increased immigration to over 1 million. In terms of 'saving the environment' which is part of this discussion that makes no sense at all as it increases our carbon footprint overall by increasing our population that require the same standard of services and threatens net zero. So we will all suffer more as the population increases. So I am by no means defending our government, in fact I am criticising them for ignoring policies upon which they received the support of the electorate. The upshot is that that situation will not change if either the Labour or Libdems ascend to power as is clear in their statements of intent. If one wants a saved environment and a saved planet and wants teh UK to point the way then one sensible step is to control immigration effectively down to zero. The policies currently being enacted make no sense.
