Bet this is why she reigned. Marvelous, she gets tipped off her husband is going to be arrested.
She resigns, giving them time to dispose of incriminating evidence, and get their story's straight.
She was tipped off 'we are coming in the morning to arrest him', they sit waiting.
Meanwhile in the real world, the ordinary people on the street accused of the same thing would not be tipped off to have time to get their story's straight, they would not be told the date time and place of their pending arrest.
Lots of people on this forum, including myself, absolutely knew that this pair had been on the fiddle for years.
Now the English tax payers demand to know how much money the pair of them have robbed off us, and the people of Scotland deserve the truth why money meant for them has been swindled by these two.

The people of Scotland actually deserve this, they delighted in voting in these corrupt incompetent rogues to power, conned by the separatist rubbish they have been content to be hood winked by constant talk about independence whilst these criminals milked the money.
Let's hope the people in Scotland have learnt their lesson, but I doubt it.

The plot thuckens..... THE SNP have released a statement following the arrest of former party chief executive Peter Murrell. The 58-year-old, and husband of former first minister Nicola Sturgeon, was arrested on Wednesday morning in connection with the ongoing investigation into the funding and finances of the SNP. Murrell is now in custody and being questioned by Police Scotland detectives as part of Operation Branchform, while searches at a number of addresses, including the former FM's home in Uddingston, South Lanarkshire, are underway.
