srgeonfuhere faces call to reveal if she knew her husband was about to be arrested before quitting as mayor of Scotland - as dramatic footage shows police tent and cordon outside their modest home in Glasgow cul-de-sac Sturgeonfurer was under pressure to reveal if she knew her husband was going to be arrested before she quit as mayor of Scotland today, after he was held by detectives probing the SNP's finances. There was a heavy police presence outside the modest Glasgow home Sturgeonfurer shares with Peter Murrell, 58, this morning, including police vans and a forensics tent. Officers were also at the SNP's headquarters in Edinburgh following the arrest, which comes just a week after Sturgeonfurer was replaced by Humza Yousaf. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11941197/Police-probing-Scottish-National-Party-funding-arrest-man-58.htmlSpeaking of English Nazis. You do know a Nazi is a right wing fascist. Just like the right wing zealots in the present government. Particulalrly the ERG group.

What odds are the bookies giving on who will be in jail first? - Trump or Sturgeon? Johnston. By the way can you explain what the former did. Unlike fascist England. A wife in Scotland cannot give evidence against her husband or husbandf against wife. By tgher way. Liker Mr stupid whop has already convicted the former FM. Have you already convicted Murell. Is this a English thing. To the rest of the world its called stupidity

I wonder if this has some bearing on Wee Krankie's decision to step down? Although we seldom think alike most of the time, that was my immediate first thought too. I suppose it could just be an unfortunate coincidence, but Sturgeon resigning out of the blue mere weeks before her husband is arrested on a serious allegation of fraudulent misuse of funds, does look a bit suspect. I mean if you or I were holding high public office and we knew that our other half was due for an imminent dollop of shit hitting the fan involving criminal investigation, wouldn't we resign too before it happened? Resigning is exactly what someone in Sturgeons position would do if she knew the shit was about to hit her partners fan. Our suspicions might be unfounded of course but it certainly does look a bit suspect. It also leads to the inevitable question. If, and it is only an if right now, she knew about these pending investigations and this triggered her resignation, did she also know, and if so to what extent, about any actual criminality by her other half? Does she herself have any culpability? Hopefully the truth - whatever it is - will win out in the fullness of time. But yeah it does look potentially slightly fishy to me right now.

Just announced..... he is released without charge Well, innocent until proven guilty of course, and perhaps no crime was committed. But being released without charge does not mean that investigations have ceased or that no crime has been committed. It merely means that thus far there is insufficient evidence to charge so the person arrested has had to be released. This could of course mean that he is entirely innocent. Or it could just mean they don't have enough evidence yet. Time will tell.

A wife cannot testify against her husband. But do not worry. All the stupid Englishmen have found them guilty. Just as they did with Salmond. And once again all the stupid Englishmen totally wrong. Yet half the sleaze bag Tory wankers in Westminster have not even been charged with anything. You do know the money is not missing. Nah. Your brain does not operate that fast. The charge is to what purpose it was put to. And that matey came from Unionist wankers and it is going nowhere.

The money is not missing. It was raised by crowdfunding to be used on indy. Well the cost of the decision by the UK supreme court and other could account for that. This is going nowhere. It is simply Unionists making their mouth go. It is now up to the PF. Now Murell has been arrested. Time limits will apply.

It's just a maybe. The fact that the police are taking away 'exhibits' is no more conclusive of guilt than it was when they took 'exhibits' from Cliff Richards' house.

I imagine there are a number of ways the £600K could have been spent in furtherance of the goal of independence. Has it been established yet towards what purpose the funds were supposedly misdirected?

Salmond was set up for a bad rap, he won't be the first or last. The police for whatever reason are obviously taking something somebody said seriously.
