And Sunak's lies are BIG ones. Boris's lies tend to be slight exaggerations - often called "boosterism". But as the lawyers have pored over the "Windsor Frame-up" that Sunak has massively over-sold, they have found that a lot of what he has claimed is categorically untrue. For example the Green channel to NI that he claimed removed the need for all documentation turns out to do no such thing. Or you can take your dog to NI as if it were in the UK - no you can't. And the "Stormont Brake" which he said allowed NI to veto any EU change that they don't like also does no such thing. Stormont can object all they like but EU law has supremacy. In fact the whole document is basically meaningless and keeps NI firmly under EU rules and outside the UK. All it does is remove our right to invoke Article 16. Yet I don't hear a peep from the usual Lefties who attack Boris at every opportunity. No one has accused Sunak of lies - yet this is the biggest stitch-up since Theresa May tried to ram through her BRINO "withdrawal agreement". And no one seems to care  |

Once you understand that, your eyes might start to open. And you may begin to realise that most of our problems have nothing to do with the EU, illegal immigrants, wokeism, or whatever else such mouthpieces of the ruling elites as the Daily Mail tell you they are. The state we and our country are in is entirely due to those ruling elites, including politicians, and their propaganda arms in the media. You and your ilk are to them what Stalin would have called "useful idiots", useful and relied upon to do the elites' bidding and think how they want you to but they are generally contemptuous of you behind your back. If you wish to argue that Northern Ireland should not align itself with Irish / EU regulations, then how do you keep an open border with the Republic of Ireland. ?

Northern Ireland has to somehow fit into the regulatory regime of both the UK and the EU, and the only logical way in which I can see this happening, is for the UK to keep Status Quo ... in other words to keep the regulatory regime we have had for 47 years from 1973 until we left the EU.
If someone could please explain why keeping the same regulatory regime as Ireland, Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Germany, France, Poland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Greece, Malta, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus, Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Croatia and Slovenia is not possible, I would be very interested in knowing why. ?
It would not prevent us from doing trade deals outside the EEA, in fact the contrary, because most Trade Blocks are queuing up to do trade deals with the EU / EEA.
The reason is a matter of misplaced, rabid, and misjudged hatred of the very concept that large groups of nations should agree to live under the same regulations in order to make doing business better, easier and smoother, thereby improving chances of growth, prosperity and economic security.
I repeat: There is no reason why the UK should not remain aligned to the same regulatory regime as the Republic of Ireland, in which cast the border problem would be solved.
