This is not democracy’: European parliament unites to condemn selection of new EU Commission president behind closed doors
‘None of the presidents on the council would accept this being done in their countries. It would be taken to a constitutional court,’ says leader of largest group

And that has precisely what relevance to the case?
You haven't read it, all of your comments have completely missed the point.

We're not a global player in trade deals any more. If the USA ever gives us a deal better than the EU gets then you might be able to brag. Won't hold my breath. We are a gobal player and no amount of your usual bullshit can change that fact... A global player doesn't have to resort to bragging about lost in the noise 0.08% supposed gain deals How's that USA deal going Jonksy?

I couldn't resist passing on the comment I saw after Kemi announced the deal and the massive GDP boost (0.08%) it would deliver:
"It's as though we've stormed out of the Ritz and stumbled into Wetherspoons"

I would say that a better comparison is to be living in a house with an abusive spouse and ending up in a flat on your own.

Or realizing your ex-wife had been robbing you blind all through your marriage, and kicking yourself for not getting out of the relationship long ago.

Well they are.
And the link that you provided not only does not negate that fact, but doesn't address it.
Only you know what you were trying to do with your post, but I suspect you were trying to take it off track.

We're still trading with the EU, incase the remoaners have forgotten. We're just not members any more, because membership, was shit. Every time we tried to get reform, it failed.
We weren't listened to.
And as we were mere voters, we had no way of electing, or sacking the Commission, the only body presently empowered in the EU to propose legislation to the EU Parliament. Without the means to choose people on the basis of a manifesto, the public has no direct say.
If the EU, which is presently going through a treaty change process, addresses the shortfalls, my opinion will change and I will reassess and change my views accordingly.
But, at present, I'm fucking glad to be out.

Only you know what you were trying to do with your post, but I suspect you were trying to take it off track. It's you whois taking it off track. You made a stupid analogy and now you are trying to defend it. Not once have you responded to the FACT that any of those you see as USSR citizens have the right to voyte for the second rate parasites who rule them.
