Margaret Ferrier facing suspension after travelling by train with COVID during early stages of pandemic Story by Faye Brown, political reporter • 6h ago An MP who travelled by train with COVID in the early stages of the pandemic is facing a 30-day suspension from the House of Commons - raising the possibility of a by-election.
Margaret Ferrier could face a by-election
Margaret Ferrier was found by the standard's watchdog to have damaged parliament's reputation and put people at risk by failing to self-isolate while suffering from the virus in September 2020.
The Rutherglen and Hamilton West MP has already been ordered to complete 270 hours of community service after admitting recklessly exposing the public "to the risk of infection, illness and death" as a result of her behaviour.

Oh I hope she is suspended and if she had any moral compass she would resign. The Tory Westminster wankers are fighting tooth and nail and the sleaze bag experts are trying to get her suspension down to nine days. For two sleaze bag reason. The lying homophobic despot Boris is about to have a finding for the same reason, and more. . And the Westminster wankers will have a job with the goose and gander saying. What a bunch of despicable wankers. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/snp-margaret-ferrier-covid-train-b2310784.html

No idea what ranty rubbish may have been posted there as Jaydee is on ignore, but I'm glad Covid hasn't killed him.
Too many people including one of my friends died from it.
Margaret Ferrer recklessly endangered the public. She belongs in prison.

I thought the Chinese cough emergency was all over, can't she just be given a ticking off like the people who block the motorways. Quantifying the effect she had on contagion is impossible, but it could obviously have been negative. Wasn't everyone on trains wearing face coverings at the time?

I think that sums it up perfectly, no ambiguity there, unless you want your cake and eat it that is.

Not eneryone thought that they were so improtant they had to go by train whilst they had tested positive.....If she were a tory it would have been the crime of the century.
EDIT:.......Dont forget there was no vacine at the time of her offence.

I think that sums it up perfectly, no ambiguity there, unless you want your cake and eat it that is. So you tell me why the Westminster wankers want her suspension under 10 days. You are the self appointed expert. And by the way. Margaret Ferrier is not SNP. Sher had the whip immediately withdrawn. That is what honest party's do. When will the English Nationalist Tory wankers do the same with that lying homophobic racist prat, Bojoke. Or in your version of standards. He does not count as he is a real Englishman. Not Scots or Muslim riff raff.

Margaret Ferrier was suspended immediately. She is not SNP. So how about you telling me why the English nationalist fascist tory wankers. want her suspension to less than 10 days. And why did that clown Bojoke not have the whip withdrawn. You did not have a clue with your rants till it was pointed out. That anything of 10 days or more can force a by election. You really should try and understand sleaze bags before you start casting dispersions.

You really should try and understand sleaze bags before you start casting dispersions. Only 2 of those who voted for her to be suspended for under 10 days can, fairly or otherwise, be described as “English nationalist facist tory wankers” ie. Bernard Jenkins and Charles Walker. The other 2 who voted for a 9 day period of suspension are Scots ie. Alberto Costa and Allan Dorans (although, given the shameful comments we have seen on here in the last couple of days about Yousaf’s nationality etc. then perhaps some would consider Costa to be Italian despite being born and brought up in Scotland). Dorans is neither English nor a Tory. Rather, if we are to adjust your colourful description above to reflect his circumstances, he is a Scottish nationalist facist SNP wanker. So, why did this Scottish nationalist fascist SNP wanker vote for a period of suspension just below that which would have enabled a by election in Rutherglen and Hamilton West? Was it to protect a fellow Indy supporting mp and ex-SNP colleague ... was it to prevent an early electoral test for the new SNP leadership and for the waning Indy sentiment ... was it to set a precedent that would favour a similar sub- by election enabling period of suspension for Johnson... or was it for all 3 of these reasons? Whatever his motivation here, it was almost certainly not something that “ honest party’s (sic) do”, to quote your sanctimonious words from an earlier post above.

SNAT cultists will come up with any excuse to defend the cult. They will do anything to further the cause of anti English racism including travelling by train and spreading Covid.

Matey it is the English Fascist Tory wankers who are doing the promotion of getting her suspension under 10 days. Voting is a separate issue. The SNP have already told her to resign. The fascist wankers fear if she is suspended longer. Then Bojoke the lying homophobic racist tosspot would have to be given a like sentence. Only in the alternative ScotNat universe does that twisted logic stack up. Anyway, I am really not sure why Ferrier’s period of suspension should have any bearing upon the sanctions (if any) to be imposed on Johnson. She was up before the Standards Committee for seriously and recklessly endangering others through her failure to observe social distancing rules/guidance. Johnson’s case is about whether he knowingly or recklessly lied to parliament on multiple occasions (albeit that he did so in respect of observing social distancing rules/guidelines). Both, in my view, are serious offences albeit for very different reasons. In Ferrier’s case, it was obviously because she knowingly endangered many others by exposing them to the harmful and potentially lethal covid virus (including her parliamentary colleagues) - and in Johnson’s case because he seriously undermined and potentially eroded our constitution and our democratic processes. BTW - not all Tory committee members voted for her to only receive a 9 day suspension. The only party represented on the committee whose representative(s) voted 100% for the 9 day suspension was SNP.
