I see Grant Shapps has said we will continue with our deadline of 2030 for phasing out petrol cars. Also next year 22% of cars manufacturers sell will have to be electric (pure EV or plug-in hybrid) and the percentage will rise every year until 2030 when all cars have to be EV. And after 2035 plug-in hybrids will be banned too. Any manufacturer breaching these rules will be fined (£15,000 per car) except if they buy "credits" from other manufacturers who beat the figures - so Tesla could stave off their bankruptcy by selling credits).
Of course this is all nonsense - and everybody knows it.

You should stop posting anti-Eco crap until you can prove, not just contrive, your position to be correct. There are many thousands of hectors of trees planted every year, between 1,000 and 2,500 per hector. And the trees you are so concerned about will all be replace. IIRC the trees were removed because of the damage they were doing to pavements and roads leaving them constantly requiring to be repaired. Some of these trees are 5000 years old, how long do you think it will take to grow a tree to the size of the ones they are murdering?
Put it this way, you wont see those trees to live to be 5000 years old, the Earth will be well gone.
The new trees will be doing their job at an increasing level from day one. |

My “way out” opinions might one day educate you towards listening to REAL ENVIRONMENTALISTS like Jeff Gibbs … who practiced what they preached … lived being ecologists and seriously researched their subject all their lives. Of course you won’t watch the film … you’re not open-minded … No one, absolutely no one, can give anything other than their opinions on climate change for the very simple reason that the planet has NEVER overheated before while being aided and abetted by the mass production of 'green house gasses' by humans. We know it's bullshit when they are putting a 'green tax' on everything to 'save the planet', then on the next breath the same people are mass murdering perfectly healthy trees that have been on this planet far longer than humans, they are natures FREE planet filtrations that absorbs masses of crap and pollution in the air, there should be protection orders on trees, like there are on some wildlife, chopping them down to make way for housing developers to create concrete jungles.

Why do you think it's "obvious" that it's fossil fuels that are causing the problems rather than, for example, the fact that we've repurposed about 75% of the surface of the planet for housing, infrastructure, crop growing etc? Remember that there was an identical period of warming in the early twentieth century (the ETCW) that occurred without any increase in fossil fuel usage (or CO2). |

Car manufacturing is a huge part of the Germany economy. It has nothing to do with being green or saving the planet. Germany thinks there is more profit in selling ICE vehicles, so Germany gets it own way. A perfect example of why people wanted to leave the EU. A so called democratic institution of equals, poisoning the lungs of its citizens for the financial interest of its wealthiest member lol.
