He was the leader that the clan Murrell wanted, hence his appointment. It is hard to imagine that anyone else would think that he is suitable to be First Minister. There are some who might be considered to be more experienced and less absurd, but they quickly put themselves out of the running at an early stage. The proud recipient of the Murrell patronage will soon realise why they did so.
Just look at the selection of baying inbreds on the front bench of the HoC SNP contingent and the rest of the no hopers in the pretendy parliament to see the available choices, you will have to make up your own mind if there is anyone better.

Protesters storm Scottish parliament seconds into Humza Yousaf's first FMQs
It took just shy of a minute for Humza Yousaf’s first FMQs to be suspended after climate protesters began shouting at Scottish Tory leader Douglas Ross.
The public gallery had to be cleared after the six disruptions plunged Yousaf’s inaugural session in Holyrood today into disarray.
Five of the breaks in the first 15 minutes were down to seven campaigners from the anti-fossil fuel group This Is Rigged shouting at Ross as he quizzed Yousaf.
Within seconds of rising, a demonstrator in the gallery shouted at the leader of the Scottish Conservative Party before he even had a chance to ask the new First Minister a question.
While Ross shrugged off the interruption, Presiding Officer Alison Johnstone suspended proceedings.
She told the chamber when it resumed: ‘This parliament rightly prides itself on being open and accessible, and we want to maintain that.
