Husa Yousaf has been elected as the new SNP leader, as the continuity candidate he has pledged to carry on the Sturgeon empire.
This will now result in "continuity" in the form of not recollecting things, paperwork relating to finances disappearing, a total lack of interest in governing the Country properly, anti English rhetoric at all times, GRR bill to be challenged in court, all finances to be shrouded in secrecy and separation will be all talk and nothing else.
Mr Murrell is unavailable for comment.

Why didn't this result surprise us.
Tommo has gone quiet, has he been called to midday prayer? Scotland is now really doomed, good and proper, but it is what the idiots wanted so no sympathy, I look forward to Ricky putting him back in his box.

As this appears to be less than an overwhelming choice, I wonder if there will be defections and whether they’ll end up with the Conservatives or improve Labour’s chances in the Scottish Parliament and/or Westminster…

New SNP leader Humza Yousaf said he wanted to take Scotland into the European Union as he pledged to put the drive for Scottish independence into "fifth gear".
Mr Yousaf said in his victory speech this afternoon: "I am a proud Scot and equally a proud European too and Scotland is a European nation.
"We want to return to the European Union and play our part in building a continent that is based on human rights, on peace, prosperity and social justice."

I suspect that Abu Hamza's majority support in the SNP is not mirrored in the Scottish population. In my experience Scots are not that welcoming to foreigners.

Even the strugeon /murrell clique of diehards in the indy movement are finding it hard to put a brave face on yousafs election as dear leader. Im hearing of mass infighting , and defections over to Alba , and utter disgust at the Green leader harvie and his sidekick slater.
It certainly looks like you have kicked indy down the road for a while at least. You have lost northern ireland , but with 80 % plus of young to middle aged scots wanting independence, im not sure how long you can keep the ticking time bomb ticking over indefinetly.
Anyway , i wonder if calamity yousaf will last 6 months?

Humza Yousaf has been a failure in every job he’s had in government, and now he’s basically in charge of every department at once when he’s proven himself unable to handle any one of them at a time.
He was the “continuity candidate” of a party that pretty much everyone agrees is currently a radioactive bin fire of corruption, incompetence and chaos, so we can only assume its members want the calamitous shambles to continue. He already has a -20 approval rating with the Scottish public, and even among SNP voters he’s only +11.
He has no plan whatsover for progressing the case for independence, either in terms of support or process, and he hung his campaign on his intention of going to court in support of a policy opposed by 70% of the electorate, which has caused the SNP to haemorrhage members, and which he’ll now keep in the public eye for months with no hope of success.
