How many times have the lefties got it wrong?.....Yet again there was no smoking gun uncovered in the crooked kangaroo court.......How on earth could Boris expect to receive a fair hearing when Harman (and no doubt the other members of the committee) had obviously made her mind up beforehand, regardless of any evidence to the contrary? The whole inquiry has been a completely unnecessary, unwanted and biased shambles.
Harman's face was thunder. Boris was as agile as a cat. Pure box office but, after four nit-picking hours, had a single mind been changed? SARAH VINE reviews ex-PM's battle to clear his name and salvage his career over Partygate
Not since Johnny Depp took on Amber Heard has a courtroom drama been so hotly anticipated.
The Captain Jack Sparrow of British politics, buccaneer and charming rogue Boris Johnson, in the dock in front of his peers, fighting not just to clear his name but also to salvage his career.
If politics is showbiz for ugly people, then this was pure Westminster box office. Ostensibly about whether or not Johnson knew that he was misleading parliament in relation to Partygate, in reality yesterday's hearing was about so much more.
It was about the whole psychodrama of the past few years, about gold wallpaper and Dominic Cummings, about late-night red wine rows and the Red Wall, about feuds and counterfeuds and, of course, about Brexit. His enemies were bullish. Gary Lineker, that beacon of BBC impartiality, tweeted darkly about 'folks who constantly tell fibs' shortly after Boris's defence dossier was released on Tuesday.
The airways were alive with pundits debating the relative depth of his imminent demise. This was payback time..

Are we finally admitting the place is a pantomime not fit for purpose?

How the fuck could anyone say Johnson is getting a fair hearing with Harriet Harman at the helm, why isn't a outside independent body dealing with this?
I mean Harriet Harman and Sue Gray FFS, they may as well just threw Johnson to the hounds.

It’s like a domestic abuse trial with the mother in law of the accused as judge.

Boris claimed he believed he did not break the rules, he was told by his advisers that everything was OK. His advisers were his two personal POLITICAL ADVISERS, not even MPs and not members of the Cabinet or that would have been made clear. We then saw a photo of Boris with a drink in his hand, he was about 3yards away from the nearest two small groups of people standing close to each other also having drinks. Boris made the rules, so it was impossible for him not to see the rules being broken right in front of his eyes. By all means, allow yourself to be misguided and misled by Maily nonsense again, that leaves you in the swamp where you began LOL

Is that necklace she's wearing going around Johnson's ankles when he's shackled to the cells.

Is that necklace she's wearing going around Johnson's ankles when he's shackled to the cells. Well it is pretty awful, I don't like her glasses either, but its her choice.

Any right minded person can see that Boris lied until proof was provided and he could lie no more.
Despite the outcries, he isn't unique in doing this, and in fact this kind of deceit is a basic human behaviour.
In an ideal world, he would be booted out of politics and banned for life. The problem is, they are all at it, so the Tories would just be shooting themselves in the foot for little gain. Personally I hope they do because I am sick of the sight of him, and sick of hearing about him, but I will understand the reasoning if they don't.

Total load of bollocks.
We all know that Boris is a lying bastard and most of us could not give a toss. The only point that counts is when will he oust that dreary sod Sanuk and take over again as PM
