I've noticed that youtube are really cracking down on this stuff.
It's more that cracking down on videos that have existed on youtube since its inception is a litmus test of how far censorship has come. I'm not saying virulently anti-semitic NF videos should stay up on youtube, but it's interesting that pro-CCP stuff can flourish but NF stuff can't. All 4 of their party members must be bitterly disappointed by this development.
The internet is turning this way though: free speech is no longer allowed, cloud platforms will shut down your website if any 'extremist' views are allowed on there.
And evem on here, we are seeing people calling for users like sword and probox to be banned for their views.
Indeed the best days of Youtube have passed. Copyright is now automatic so where once you used to get all sorts of stuff it's all deleted for so many different reasons. Pro political channels have to be clever wordsmiths to get around it. Comments are also automatically censored if they sound a bit annoyed. Even when perfectly legal and without swear words the wrong combination of strong words can remove it and all the more so on a mainstream channel like The Sun or Sky.
It's the fault of society though. The politicians and other bastards with access to lawyers and all of that have attacked it. What is left ironically is stupid stuff.

You may not but many would, and do, as ideology sometimes is linked to things that many regard as protected. One can hate Scientology without much comeback yet one cannot hate Islam without repercussions. . . . Untrue

You may not but many would, and do, as ideology sometimes is linked to things that many regard as protected. One can hate Scientology without much comeback yet one cannot hate Islam without repercussions. Anything that is linked in any way to ethnicity has an aura round it that screams protected. If one expresses hatred of Judaism is one being ideological or racist. Rastafarian is another, can one hate Rastafarianism without being accused of racism. I suppose Scientology is fair game because it is mainly followed by white people. It is a bit of a mess and very very subjective. I should have made it more clear that I was referring to criticism of political ideologies rather than the religious or ethnic as you have quoted. Why would you expect a freedom to exist that can criticise political ideologies but not religious. I am not sure what an ethnic ideology is. Many ideologies are rooted in ethnicity and possibly born from them but they are still ideologies and if there is no divine element they are political. Should we protect Scientology from criticsism

Untrue You can burn the works of Ron Hubbard in a public place but you can be arrested for burning the Quran as some have found out and the police say ""We always adopt an extremely robust approach to allegations of this sort and find this sort of intolerance unacceptable in our society."It is not a police duty to police intolerance it is a police duty to tackle crime.

I would be more concerned if the material taken down was solely that of criticism of China. Why should they be a special case? What type of criticism was removed? I can see a case for removal of hate speech but that should be across the board and not confined to China. If the Chinese regime is so popular with their people any criticism of it should be like water off a Pekin Duck's back. Hate speech is a very subjective issue. Why can I not hate any ideology, it is a common occurrence for many Labour supporters to express hatred for Tories, can Tories hate back? The issue is always who decides on the acceptability or not of certain speech. Not really that subjective. The left can incite people to throw battery acid over people they disagree with and nothing is done except the remarks are edited from streamed versions of the transmission so the left can pretend it was never said once those like me who heard it are dead

I wonder what she is doing now? Yet another lefty arsehole oxygen waster we will have to keep on benefits.
