Britain joining the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) would be a "massive boost" and "huge triumph", a Brexiteer has said. It is understood the UK's accession to the £9trillion gross domestic product (GDP) Indo-Pacific free trade bloc could be announced imminently. Conservative MP David Jones, who is deputy chairman of the European Research Group of Tory Eurosceptics, hailed the Brexit win and, in a swipe at the EU, said it would not involve Britain giving up its sovereignty. Mr Jones told the Express: "The CPTPP is an association of some of the most dynamic economies in the fastest-growing part of the world. "Unlike the EU, it doesn't require its members to surrender their sovereignty to unelected bureaucrats. "Joining it will be a massive boost to the UK and a huge triumph for the Government."
The EU GDP is £12.7 trillion dollars Pounds Stirling.

Cloud Cuckoo Land once again
Most trade is regional, Canada's biggest trade partner is the United States, and Australias biggest trading partners are in Southeast Asia and the Pacific, the biggest part of our trade is with Europe, and it will remain that way.
Leaving the worlds oldest, and most successful trade block (The EU) which is on our doorstep, to then go and join a different trade block on the other side of the world is so utterly stupid, its almost beyond belief.

On the fish quays of Peterhead, Aberdeen, Bridlington and Grimsby, hundreds of tons of Crabs, Lobster, Prawns and White Fish went daily to France, Belgium, Spain and Portugal; Contrary to what idiots like Nigel Farage said, it was, and still is Europe more than anyone else who help to keep our fishing industry alive.
The European Union is a Single Market, where goods move around with ease, and without checks or regulations, but the UK is now outside that Single Market, and goods no longer move from the UK to Europe with ease any more. Our farmers and fishermen, food producers and growers now face paperwork, red tape, queues, delays, extra costs, and some people believe leaving the Single Market was a good thing.
For MOST exporters to the EU, Japan or Vietnam will never be a credible alternative, and anyone who thinks it will, is not living in the real world.
Leaving the EU has resulted in absolutely no benefits or advantages what so ever - none
Leaving the EU has made life a lot more complicated and difficult foe UK business, and by the governments own admission, harmed our economy, and hit growth.

You have not really got to grips with this. It is not the existence of a single market that is the problem, it is what you are obliged to take on board as being a member of that single market. Even Thatcher, who was a very strong advocate of the single market, realised too late that it came with many costs and conditions that she found in the end unacceptable. The advantages are what we can now do as opposed to what we could not do. All that is needed is a government that takes advantage of those new freedoms and so far over the past 7 years most have been trying, in a roundabout way, to stay in but be 'out' or rejoin.

Less than half now 38% by the latest poll of polls. Even less if you ask "were we right to leave the EU" that's at 33%. When do you think the democracy supporting Brexiters will start recognise these polls. By early 1974 the polls indicated that a 2 to 1 majority thought joining the EEC was a mistake. Democracy supporting Europhiles ignored these polls. NO! The 1974 elections were fought and won by Labour on the platform that us joining the EEC on the terms Grocer Heath had agreed in haste were wrong and had to be renegotiated. Which they were and put to the people who massively rejected your views in that 1975 free and fair referendum.

By early 1974 the polls showed a 2 to 1 majority of people thinking that joining the Common Market was a mistake. Labour's February manifesto pledged a renegotiation with the people deciding on the deal and that turned the polls around by 1975. Not sure how what I said was wrong.

When did you get the job of policing the forum? I'm entitled to my opinion, and that was my opinion when such shit is posted to me. He merely answered your post. You may be in charge of the geriatric ward but you are only the same as everyone else here . I’ll give you a heart and let you have the last word ♥️ That's probably because you know I was right to reprimand the idiot for posting unadulterated OTT shit to me

I agree and you don't appreciate how I and others fought to stem the Remnant lies. That ^^^^^ one sided look at the referendum is part of the reason the UK character is permanently stained. Your have scored Brexit Blindness in one You consistently post your personal subjective opinion and claim it as objective fact. Why do that when all it does is to make your posts look thoroughly hypocritical and extremely silly
