RAF Scampton is the subject of much protest due to plans to turn it into a centre for what are referred to as asylum seekers. When the Red Arrows left Scampton, it was planned to turn the base into a number of ventures including tourism. It is or was home to a number of people who occupied the houses on there, not servicemen but people who moved in as RAF personnel moved out over the years. Behind the base in the old village is a churech with a war memorial dedicated to the Polish pilots who escaped Poland and elsewhere to fight for this country; Lincolnshire was riddled with airbases using Polish air force personnel. I've spoken to quite a few and surprisingly have yet to meet one who was aware of the poles who came over and fought against Germany. On the A40 at Northolt is a massive memorial commemorating thos Poles who lost their lives. When I first got married, we moved just round the corner from an ex-Polish pilot who had regularly flown return flights between the Gold Coast and Cairo. We spent a long time listening to his stories; he and his wife called me the glow worm after watching me build a greenhouse at night under the light of a single bulb. |

Just watched Farage on GB News reporting from the Dambusters Arms at Scampton. 303 Squadron a Polish Squadron were based at Northolt, all of them had managed to get to England to join up to fight the Germans superb fighter pilots, well documented

Well the steps she took saw Asylum applications rise from 22,600 to 39,300. At the same time she put through a Law that is so badly written and open to abuse that it almost prevents us deporting any illegals at all.

Dartmoor prison for example only uses now 5% of its facilities. |
