Bloody hell

A short time after losing his wife some poor sod gets a letter saying the council are so sorry HE is dead but looking on the bright side if he would care to fill in some forms he can get a council tax rebate.

I can’t say i’d be as understanding as he was.

I was a full-time carer for ten years. A month after my wife died I had to sign on. I was told that there were only two kinds of jobs available locally. As a carer ... or in an abattoir. He assured me, with a smile on his face, that there were plenty of the latter jobs. He knew that my wife had recently died.
