You couldn't make it up mate...How many farmers have had to pay a high cost for any fertilizer or slurry that has seeped into our waterways.....And lets not forget the EA are the same ignorant ringpeices who put forward which ones of our sewage infested beaches should receive the blue flag.

I worked in an electroplating works. A vat was cleaned out and gallons of cyanide sludge ended up in the river ... killing all the fish for 6 miles downstream. An inspector came to investigate ... and went away happy ... with a bottle of Whiskey and an envelope of cash.

You can fool some of the people some of the time but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time, even if you have made it a lifetimes goal.

Meanwhile Labour is pretending they thought of it, because it will earn them Brownie points with the populists who being a lot smarter than all of them put together had noticed the electorate are being poisoned by the very people they vote for.

I'm currently on the train to Cardiff.
A few minutes ago we passed a river (no idea which one) brimming with what looked like soap suds. Mountains of the stuff.
Christ knows what was going on there..

That would probably be me.
I keep a bucket by the bed for emergencies and to eliminate the pong add washing machine liquid. Watered down it does the plant life the world of good, but does tend to lather up a bit

Depending on which direction, i could take a stab at which one it was but i also know the most likely reason for the foam When they built the barrage we tried telling them the river was so full of organic shit most of it unpleasant they would have a dead lagoon of stinking algal slurry. They decided they could ‘fix’ this by pumping oxygen from the plant that used to produce it for East Moors steelworks into the river It keeps the bug level down but froths like a tub of soap suds.
