Well done little Sadique, your plan of destroying Londonistan seems to be working.
Oxford Street is CLOSED for business: How London's iconic shopping destination has transformed with dozens of stores now lying empty
Oxford Street was once the flagship location for Britain's high-end stores but the shopping destination is becoming increasingly abandoned by the big name brands that earned it such esteem.
Photos taken by MailOnline have revealed how Oxford Street has suffered and is now home to empty shells of ornate stonework stores that used to house some of the UK's most famous brands.
The coronavirus pandemic has changed the look of the British high street forever as iconic brands were plunged into administration and forced to close their doors.

He's out to destroy the UK, it's his mission, and he's a untouchable leftie woke snowflake, London once our famous capital is turning into a crime ridden ghetto, you have to ask yourselves why is he allowed to continue with his destruction?

COV-ID certainly hit the High Street, think Topshop was passe so no big loss unless you have a pension with them.
Re Khan I think as long as he keeps the Tubes going and allows busses and taxis there it will recover.

. . .
More utter BS . Why don't you read articles instead of scanning headlines and letting those voices in your head add layers of rubbish? Bricks and mortar shops are in decline all over the Western world and have been for long before Khan replaced Boris as London mayor. You claim to spend a lot of time in the USA, you going to blame Khan for the decline in bricks and mortar shops there too or is that your doing?

The Middlesbrough branch of M&S is one of the largest in the North of England, it was opened in 1901, just 16 years after the founding of Marks & Spencers, but later this year the store is to close.
In the past few years many high street names have gone, Debenhams, Binns, M&Co, Bonmarche, Peacocks, the list goes on.
This all began over ten years ago as internet shopping took off, and well known names like Woolworths disappeared.
Here in Northeast, many town centres are diversifying, building leisure areas to replace retail spaces, in Stockton on Tees the Castlegate Shopping Centre has just been demolished.
Its why I wont shop on line, I prefer to support my local economy as much as I can

It's good to just park up and every shop you need is in one place, the high streets have been killed off with the labour run councils clobbering people with parking fees, even online people use click and collect so they are still physically entering the shop, I think it's probably a Labour tactic to blame those 'nasty tories', when in fact most of the high street shops are in labour run councils and not tory.

I do not believe for one second that the decline of high streets is political
In the area where I live, the Tory run authorities have the higher car parking charges, places like Rishi Sunaks constituency, whereas over the border in Labour run areas the charges are cheaper.
Its the internet, retail parks, out of town shopping, but mostly the internet, just look at the amount and size of Amazon warehouses.

Many of the lefty run councils are putting up parking fines and charges from April. And no that doesn't let the tory ones off who are following siut. But you can bet your bottom dollar in is those councils on the left that set the precedent.

In Tory controled North Yorkshire, the new Tory run unitary authority will take over on the 1st of April, and the new council will begin life in debt to the tune of £30 Million, perhaps they might have to put up parking charges to try and balance their budget. Councils all across England have had to put all kinds of charges up because the Conservative government of the past 13 years has slashed funding, and this has been the case with all councils, of all political persuasions.

Why should motorists/shoppers become council cash cows, we pay council tax and other taxes, motorists and shoppers should not be used to plug debt ridden incompetent councils.
Using parking fees and fines to balance the books by fining motorists/shoppers is outrageous to say the least, then they scratch their heads wondering why high street shops are like ghost towns.

If the money went to central government mate rather than the councils this BS would stop in it's tracks... The councils just shag over the motorist for their own benefits and nothing more.
