It is a scam, the overheads must be trifling, the source of its income comes from the sky, no manufacturing costs there. Yet they still fuck up. Its been raining non stop in the cambridge area for at least a month, cambs is the driest part of the uk. Yet we will have a drought in the east. The rain has been the right rain, steady, constant. All day all night.
Not enough. Lies.

The costs starts when they have to catch it, retain it ,treat it, then pump in through miles and miles of pipes , maintain them , replace them, then treat the waste water and pump it away, into miles of Victorian Sewers, which are not efficient enough and ends ups in our streams, rivers, and eventually our costal waters, it will take years and lots of money to replace many thousands of miles of pipework and bigger more efficient sewage treatment plants and pumping stations.

I've just filled a glass with water while the going is good.

There’s also the point that so much land is now vulnerable to flooding, due to being built on and covered over, that excess rain is channelled away as waste instead of being allowed to percolate into natural reservoirs that are currently being depleted by the ever growing demands of the population…

Given the amount of rain we have had in the past month anyone who claims there is a drought is going to get a slap..

I've just filled a glass with water while the going is good. keep it and in summer put in on Ebay..! The reality is though the regulators instead of protecting consumers is protecting the private companies and punishing the consumer. OK some privatisations worked but there’s no competition in water or energy supply it’s been a disaster. The whole agenda seems to be making the plebs poorer and life more miserable, how long before restrictions on car usage come in food prices rocket whilst they pay farmers not to grow crops or cover the fields with solar panels. I saw something the other day that they should set up units to breed locusts for us to eat as that’s more environmentally friendly and uses little land, there’s plenty of agricultural land not being used.

Bristol Water was the first to obtain mandatory water meter fitting
They found the revenue tanked as a result of customers becoming hugely inventive in water saving
So they racked the fucking bills up by twice the amount of revenue they lost.

As said before, most radio programmes consist of a not particularly well paid shock jock and an interviewee who will cut his own balls off for a few minutes air time.
This wireless lark is all very well, but the object is not to inform but to fill a bit of air time

Scotland and the north west get rain almost constantly, where are the pipes coming south? The ordinary man cant win, state run utilities are a disgrace, so are private.
