Just listened to an 'expert' on Times Radio who said we are heading for drought conditions this summer. Naturally it's all because of global warming and people who drive cars especially comfortable diesel V8's. Of course privatised utility companies who pay £millions to foreign shareholders was for some reason, not mentioned.

Look you need to get with the program as the “mericans say, well actually they say programme but never mind because here in the land that’s become the mad hatters tea party you have to realise the plebs need to pay more for less. The countryside isn’t there to grow crops dear me no it needs to be rewilded acres of land returned to animals that once roamed free where they can hide from nasty humans under the new forests of solar panels and there’s the giant trees for birds to be minced on,when the wind blows that is. Apparently though we need to fear the Chinese who have a new fifth column amongst us called Tik Tok which is there to engineer the end of democracy, the fact that we are cajoled in to installing smart meters that are often less than smart but are manufactured in the land of Tik Tok matters not as they are there to eventually regulate when we can be warm or like on the seventh day let there be light or may well be dark as it happens. What escapes them is that far from them regulating when we can be warm or watch some multi millionaire on tv who doesn’t pay his taxes comment on a spherical object or the finer points of immigration control is that some fiendish man ( can I say man or is it them?) may hack in to those smart meters and turn everything off all done from land of Tik Tok. Meanwhile the defenders of democracy past need to continue in their quest to guard our freedoms by digitising us, like heat and light they need to regulate where we are when and how we spend and perhaps like dogs we will eventually have a tag inserted in us at birth to make all this easier. Anyway sorry to have taken up a few minutes of your life you’ll never get back but before you go be sure to visit the new messiahs institute for global change,on the home page you’ll see him look in to the heavens bathed in the light from the god he is sadly, his disciples like the pig botherer and others served us no better. There is and has been a long drought of anybody who has looked no further than a few months or years failing to ensure our security and future.

The UN is saying that by 2030 Europe will have a 40% deficit in water supplies.

Up here in the north of Lincolnshire some farmers have dug a huge hole some 70/80 yards square. The soil is banked up around the hole and lined with polythene. Of course they can't grow on it but they're havens for fish and water birds and very useful when the rain doesn't fall as much as they would like.

The UN is saying that by 2030 Europe will have a 40% deficit in water supplies. I can recall the same UN saying that Himalayan glaciers would disappear by 2035. If one of the tipping point events the climate scientists keep going on about turns out to be true it could happen. I read that the Swiss are covering some of their glaciers with reflective material to stop them melting. The proof that Climate Change is happening is the dramatic drop in Arctic sea ice thickness (as measured by satellites) over the last few decades. Warm ocean water is moving North ... large numbers of whales have appeared in places they never ventured to before. In the 80s, before we got into Global Warming as the threat to the future, Global Dimming, caused by pollution from industrial activity, was all the rage. If nothing was done we'd have a new Ice Age to contend with. Some people got quite animated about the threat. Aircraft vapour trials over the Atlantic were also said to be contributing to the problem. One interesting scenario speculated about back then was that if a major Earthquake occurred in the Black Sea the vast amount of poisonous Hydrogen Sulphide gas lurking in its depths could come to the suface and kill everybody in Europe. I've met people who think that Global Warming is being caused by heat from the inside of the Planet ... and will result in Volcanoes popping up all over the place.

I was listening to a discussion on this very subject in which it was mentioned that since the 1960's several new reservoirs have been proposed, but just one has been built, Carsington reservoir in Derbyshire. The reason the majority of proposed reservoirs have been binned is because of opposition from outraged lefties/conservationists & nimby's. Who of course are the very groups who will be the first to complain about water shortages.

Yep - Thames Water have been trying to build a new reservoir outside Abingdon for over 30 years now but cannot get past local opposition. Opposition which is being led by the local LibDems..

Prepare for higher water bills. It could soon cost Brits more to drink a cup of water, wash their clothes or heat their homes if they use more than a recommended ration. Ofwat, which regulates the water sector in England and Wales, has called on companies to get more ‘creative in how they charge customers’. As droughts threaten water supplies amid climate change, the regulator wants people to use water more ‘wisely’ by rationing it and offering cheaper rates. So under new rules, Ofwat is giving water companies free rein to charge people differently to help ease environmental pressure and, they claim, costs too. metro.co.uk/2023/03/29/households-could-be-rationed-water-and-charged-if-they-go-over-limit-18521629/Our water bill has increased by a massive 155% in ten years, and according to Ofwat, it's going to go up even more in the future.

They fitted water meters to our water supply 18 months ago in 6 months time our water bill will go up when their system goes live, its pissing down at the moment lay odds they lose most of it, with over 8 million people in London the demand for water is very high 24/7 the demand goes up in the summer months
