The OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) as far as most people in this country are concerned is a little known organisation. However, I just heard Jacob Rees-Mogg say the OECD have reached agreement that corporation tax will be a minimum of 15% across the world. My ears immediately pricked up. I thought the OECD was a Paris based think tank, not a global government. We have just got out of the EU who used to make rules for us, are we now accepting rules from some French think tank? It will be interesting to see how Chancellor Hunt handles this. He is reportedly a fan of the OECD as is Sunak, and corporation tax is due to increase from 19% to 25%. Yet Hunt has previously stated that he favours a 12½% corporation tax to encourage growth which would be great for UK Plc. So which way will Hunt go. Will he do what's best for UK Plc, or will he choose globalism. www.oecd.org/tax/international-community-strikes-a-ground-breaking-tax-deal-for-the-digital-age.htm

The Government have already said they fully support the OECD plans - hence the jump in corporation tax from 19pc to 26pc which is going to cripple investment and growth in the UK.

Well it's not confirmed yet is it. JRM seems to think Hunt will not increase it, on the other hand, Sir John Redwood thinks he will. And I agree, 26% is hardly going to make the UK an attractive option. We'll see.

Has the feel of the UN though no links that I can see.

Just a thought, but did you notice the link? Not sure what is wrong about the link yet would like to know if they consider themselves a supra-national entity and how they are funded. There are a crowd of these bizarre organisations They certainly seem to believe they are (more or less) a world government and are the legitimate, permanent rulers of the human race. Given many of the people involved in these organisations seem to have the sort of personality disorders that allow them to live in self indulgent dream worlds, the only way to disabuse them of this notion may be some form of figurative 'blunt force trauma' - ie their arrest or defunding or similar
