Britain will give the EU state of France nearly half a billion pounds over the next three years in the hope they get off their lazy fat French arses and patrol their own borders. This is in addition to £250 million we have already handed the lazy French gits since 2016. Rishi Sunak has committed to sending Paris £478 million – 541m euros – to fund the new package. It will include the hiring of hundreds of French law enforcement officers and a new detention centre established in France. Mr Sunak announced the package after meeting French President Emmanuel Macron during a UK-France summit at the Elysee Palace in Paris on Friday. metro.co.uk/2023/03/10/uk-to-give-500000000-to-france-to-sort-out-migrant-crisis-18421388/Yet again, Macron is laughing all the way to the bank.

A competent PM would have used that money to strengthen our own borders whilst working with the overpaid legal team to challenge the laws that support the weaponized illegal migration by the French/EU.
Everything that is offloaded to the French is paid for dearly by the people of our country. It's why energy bills are so high, while the French profit. There is no incentive for the French to lift a finger. They'll just demand more money later down the road.

For the first few months he'll make it look like he's doing something, then normal service will resume.

A competent PM would have used the money to employ the immigrants to build flower bridges to criss-cross the nation and and cheer us all up, but poor Silly Sunak is like every PM other than Boris, he can't see a foreigner's arse without wanting to kiss it.
I imagine Bojo felt the need for a bit of a break, but he must have replenished his coffers by now and it is time he came back and took over again

It's clear he turned it down because he wants shut of the migrants, France don't want the financial burden.

Of course if we did have a leader in the UK who had a pair of danglers betwwen their legs they would ban all frog fishing boats from UK waters and ban all frog imports into the UK...There is nothing that comes out of frogland that we cant get of superior quality from out true friends across the globe.

Absolutely, we have Ace cards up our sleeves that we could use to barter, but for some unknown reason we dare not upset France and we certainly must not upset the EU, imagine if the lefties get in, FFS we'll be sold down the river.

It does seem an inordinately large amount of money for something that fails to guarantee anything.
