I'm just waiting for the blocks to be put on the new plan to ban illegals from making asylum claim.
Labour are going to find it very tricky to object, if they are seen to be easy on illegals it might cost them at the next GE, so they are in catch22, I've still got my doubts as to whether it will be passed, many of us suggested this a long time ago, so it's not like it's not been thought of, and if it does pass, we have to ask ourselves why hasn't it been used long before now?

I don’t think Rwanda NEEDS to accommodate large numbers The fact is its a shithole landlocked in the centre of the African subcontinent. The huge upswing in mediterranean migrants post Ghadaffi showed the degree to which people smugglers via Mali were reduced by Libyan attitudes. Rwanda works as a threat as it is an indication of being flung back where you came from. Not so good for Albanians of course The bottom line is the numbers coming are swollen by talk of success. Replace that by the reality of death by drowning or deporting to anywhere else and the numbers should shrink. From that Irish politics forum I sometimes view they were complaining about Georgians getting flights yet somehow losing their passports....... They will always try.
