If you check out Episode 1 of Guy Martin’s GB Energy Power Trip www.channel4.com/programmes/guy-martins-great-british-power-trip?cntsrc=social_share_ios_guy_martins_great_british_power_trip3 mins in … he shows all his gadgets, devices … and his heat pump. Pardon me … but 99.999% of the Country CANNOT AFFORD to adapt their properties to make the changes Guy Martin can afford. For the Biden Administration, the EU, NATO and our Governments and our MP’s to push us into Sanctions over a local stupid Ukrainian/Russian dispute NOTHING TO DO WITH US …. that has now thrown every UK Household into a desperate crisis to survive … causing financial MELTDOWN …. is INSANE. String these UK warmongers up … stop wasting tax-payers money on stupid bombs and guns … get OUR PRIORITIES RIGHT(!) … stop f. about … and restore cheap gas and coal-fired energy NOW!! Understand? … LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE …. not the Globalists.

Which is what I said - I have looked it up and cannot see any silent ones. So what manufacturer is producing silent fans? I've got this fan which is 16.5dbs. It's a bloody clever fan. Two reasons it is quiet are hydrodynamic bearings and the shape of the blades crates a vortex. You can place you ear right next to it and still not know if it is on or off. Try the other ear or someone elses.

Heat pumps can't generate the temperatures that a gas boiler can, so they don't warm up rooms as fast as gas - unless you put in bigger radiators, which is expensive. And all the reports I've read - and I've read many - say that air source pumps are noisy. They're also bulky and expensive and won't fit in most of Britain's housing stock. A dead end in other words.

Utter rubbish, you know nothing about them. FFS I have seen more and heard more of these polluters than you ever had....All the big construction companies will admit those lemons are the biggest gripe for new builds...I will tell all the site agents that I know and speak to most days that according to the nutters all is rosy. FFS you haven't. I have them in my home and they are virtually silent. I never here them. My best mate is a property developer and they are very happy to install them. And if construction companies hate them why are they installing them? They don't need to until 2025. You have a record of making stuff up and then dodging and twisting to avoid answering. I expect no more this time.

Or are you going to devulge the make of your silent running lemon?

There isn't one, the fans are silent. What manufacturer makes silent fans? Most, unless you are playing silly buggers again and taking silent literally. Most heat pump outside unit fans run at 40 decibels (That's a murmured conversation) The inside unit runs at 30 decibels (That's a person whisper) Certainly as quiet as your boiler. Even when they back cycle they only make 50-60 decibels. Do tell me the last time you complained about a noisy air conditioning unit? You don't even notice them.

This is true. We don't use our heat pump for our hot water. Air source heat pumps look like air conditioning units on your wall, they heat the house differently to a boiler and radiators. They give off 22 degrees (Or whatever you set them at) on a continuous bases, rather than heating a radiator up to 60 degrees and then letting it cool then heating it again in a cycle. In this way our home temperature is always the same, much more even that our old central heating system. Size. Our outside units are 80cm x60cm x 25cm. Doesn't seem that big. I am not a fan of ground source heat pumps for a number of reasons. Incidentally our heat pumps can be reversed and cool the house in summer, can your central heating do that?

How Loud Is 60 Decibels? 60 decibels is as loud as a normal conversation between two people sitting at a distance of about one meter (3 ¼ feet). It is the average sound level of a restaurant or an office. I assume you fall silent at 11pm.

So all those air conditioning units being used for decades must have been a nightmare for noise. Lol. So mine can heat and cool, can your boiler do this?

I never claimed that air conditioners were silent. So tell us what makes run at 30 Decibels - my A/C units (which are the same technology as heat pumps) are about as loud as my fan heater. What make should I have bought?

The noise pollution law in the UK is nothing more than 24dBA.after 11pm....Why don't you just admit you know jackshit about the subject.

You can talk in your garden at midnight because the sound at 60db does not reach your neighbours home at 60db. Its you who never checks anything and therefore constantly looks a dick.
