Is Labour's Sadiq Khan the most unpopular London mayor ever? Sadiq Khan was barracked at a public meeting last night as he branded some ULEZ opponents 'far right' and 'Covid deniers', he went on to call ULEZ opponents, vaccine deniers. He appeared to completely lose the plot. The London mayor was holding a 'People's Question Time' in Ealing when the extraordinary confrontation developed. Tensions have been running high over the expansion of the £12.50 charging zone - which is due to cover all boroughs from August. Critics, including London Labour MPs, have branded the policy a 'tax raid' and warned that it will price key workers and others who have no choice about using vehicles outside of the capital. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11815741/Sadiq-Khan-barracked-public-meeting-slams-Far-Right-ULEZ-opponents.htmlWhat do Labour supporters think Khans chances of being re-elected are?

His chances of re-election are probably good. The rag tag and bobtail "Landaners" all seem to like him and vote him back in. London needs a decent candidate in opposition who opposes the anti-car brigade. It's seriously affecting businesses in London. Probably much more than Brexit, which Khan laments weekly. I'd love to see the back of him.

He seems to be following policies as agreed amongst his C40 cities' co-Mayors and not doing what his constituency (the people of London) want him to do. It seems now even Mayors have the eye on the international political scene and if their city does not want to go along tough on them. The thing is he may be re-elected because the alternative will be little different.

He's utterly mad.
I realise the capital has great public transport links but there's still times a car is necessary.

Khan will be hard to beat because he has the block vote of all the muslims in London - and there are a lot, and they'll all vote for Khan. Since there are about 1.3 million muslims in London that's going to be a very big block vote even if only half are eligible to vote. A million votes are enough to secure the mayoralty. I'd say the only hope is to try to split the muslim vote by fielding another muslim candidate. But even this may not work because the nuslims are usually wise to this tactic and the imams will organise the vote for just one candidate - which is illegal of course but no one will stop them. The muslims know every trick in the book when it comes to rigging elections - they're been doing it for years.

Shaun Bailey was a candidate for London Mayor last time, yes Khan beat him, but at the time of the election Khan never mentioned anything about ULEZ it was not a manifesto issue, he kept his plans under wraps until after he won the election, which is why he has absolutely no mandate to steam roller it through now. However, Shaun Bailey is a vociferous critic of Khans ULEZ plans, he may see this as a way to beat him in next years elections. Come election time I suspect ULEZ will become a very contested issue. Mayoral candidates and councillors for that matter, are very aware that people are likely to vote for candidates who are anti ULEZ.

I'm sure that's right but it's still hard to beat a muslim block vote where they all vote for the same candidate while the non-muslim vote is split between many candidates - and that's without even factoring in the muslim vote rigging that will happen - look at Lutfur Rahman in Tower Hamlets for an example of how votes can multiplied. Sadiq Khan has no interest in anything but destroying this country's capital city.

Wasn’t there once a rule the Mayor could only be re-elected once … to stop ‘dictatorship for life’ situations occurring?
… a bit rich a muslim playing the ‘Far Right’ card ??… aren’t most muslim dictats ‘far right or far left’ in nature? … it’s in his DNA … and he does go to Pakistan, the heartland of Al Qaida to have his ideology on how to run London topped up from time to time …
