3 years is ridiculous. A suspended sentence of 6 months maybe . This isn’t justice

I'm amazed at this conviction. I'm amazed the CPS even ran it! She does not appear to make any contact with the cyclist, so there is only common assault by the words and behaviour. It's unclear whether the cyclist should have been on the path. Even if it was shared, I would have expected the cyclist to see the woman walking towards her and the restriction in the width of the path because of the sign post would have been cause to slow to a stop.
I wish the lady luck with her appeal.

When did we move over to accepting cycling on the pavement as being some kind of proper usage of the road?
Kids have always done it, but in the past it was never really technically legal to do it.
I think this is probably what clinched her conviction -
Grey left prior to emergency services arriving and went to Sainsbury's where she bought groceries.

I think this is probably what clinched her conviction - Grey left prior to emergency services arriving and went to Sainsbury's where she bought groceries. This should have no effect on the decision in court, as to what she did after. There are many people who do not feel empathy through autism and similar personality quirks. If she was judged in this way, her appeal will be swift.
