Yes I read that as well , E Scooters cannot be ridden on footpaths or the highway according to the article only on private land, I'm not sure that is totally accurate. Private e-scooters can only be ridden on private land but those that are part of a local council hire and ride scheme are perfectly legal on public thoroughfares. Sounds like one law for one and I would have thought that the ruling in favour of locasl council hire would have provided a defence for anyone using an e-scooter; I would have thought "thoroughfare" would in this case, imply those parts where cycles were permitted.

That is how I understand it , its an trial study I believe I hate the ruddy things had a couple of close calls on the pavement and a couple when driving they just come from nowhere off the pavement then weave in an out of the traffic, gang members have used them here to escape after mugging some poor bugger

"failing to prove the existence of the pothole she said caused her accident."
she should have come round my way - no shortage of potholes here, she could have taken her pick.

Yes I read that as well , E Scooters cannot be ridden on footpaths or the highway according to the article only on private land, The two cases have a similarity in what is right and wrong but with totally different outcomes. In the case of the young boy the Bench stated quite clearly the Scooter should not have been ridden on the pavement , nor should any kind of vehicle and yes each case is always based on its merit one size does nor fit all

Why? It's full of false statements. There was no stop+confrontation. There was no shared path and it sure looks like there was no 2.4 metre wide path. Well there is a thing, it seems you have seen something that has passed others by. Just go through the video frame by frame as I said, you can't miss that there is no stop then confrontation

Whatever way you look at it, this is a very dodgy conviction.

Where's Darling when you don't need him? Right here, Sal. Missed you during your temporary absence. Maybe you should learn to keep your temper under control too. Society 1: Angry Old Bats 0 Seems fair. As somebody elsewhere noted, 'that elderly lady was literally Karened to death'.

Would the elderly woman have been “Karened” to death if the woman who waved at her was black?
