No need to Google him, I read about him some years ago if I recall correctly there was a documentary about him as well, he is a talented artist, but he is mentally ill the Doctors who treated and studied him whilst in their care in Broadmoor stated that, IMO he is his own worst enemy Some times these long term prisoners are better off remaining banged up for their own safety...You imagine what has happened over those years of Bronson's incaceration? He would now be like a fish out of water if he were released.
EDIT.....ie the world is a far different place now than it was when he first started his sentence.

He is before the Parole Board today his Prison Manager told the Parole Board that Bronson or Salvador as he is now known would not be able to cope outside of Prison
This is what he Salvador said to the board according to the BBC
"First of all," he said. "It's no secret. I have had more porridge than Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and I'm sick of it.
"I've had enough of it and I want to go home.
"Of the 50 years I have been in prison I have probably deserved a good 35 of it.
"Because I have been very naughty. Not naughty-naughty but just naughty.
"I have had 11 hostages. I am not proud of it but I am not ashamed of it," he said.
Bronson told the hearing he is now able to control his emotions.
"I was battling against the system. It was my way of getting back and there's nothing like wrapping a governor up like a Christmas turkey.
"I have come to the stage of me life now…where I am going out with a bus pass," he said.
"I have slept in body belts, I have slept in strait-jackets. But how much longer have I got to go?
"I'm ready now, I'm a chilled-out man, I feel comfortable in myself.
"I handle situations 100 times better than I used to."
Bronson added he was "no longer angry", was "a born-again artist" and said it was his "mum's last dream" for him to be released.

He is madder than a box of frogs, more violent than a pack of jackals and has attempted murder multiple times and kidnapped threatening murder more than once. Just throw away the key.

Except that the doctors can't quite figure out which mental illness he suffers from. Perhaps they could make one up and call it Bronson syndrome. Which also seems to be incurable evil actions on his side, so keep him in prison - they're used to handling the dangerous animal.

A dangerous animal isn't evil, it's just wired up a certain way. It's sad that he's this way and prone to extreme violence.

Well if you look at Mad Frankie Fraser i would say his record of violence was worse than Bronson,Fraser was a criminal from aged ten, some of his violence was against prison staff and even Prison Governors,he was part of the Richardsons torture gang, was certified insane twice,in the war he was a deserter and carried on with crime in the blackout,he said he never forgave the Germans for surrendering, even in old age he had a tear up with another resident in the sheltered accomodation he lived in,but he was never locked up for almost fifty years.

Fraser was a nasty little bastard but he wasn’t anything like as formidable as Bronson.

Simply put, i’ve quite had it with do gooders releasing all sorts of less than repentant criminals into society only to have them reoffend.
I don’t know much about this chap but he does not seem terribly repentant. I agree he admits his past acts but he doesn’t, to my reading of what is available to me, seem terribly contrite about it.
That makes me believe he might commit further acts if let go
And as i said, i’m heartily fucked off hearing about new murders, new rapes, new assaults, and new victims of people parole boards released.
The multiple press releases assuring me that the latest near-release murderer / bank robber who walked out of Usk Open Prison last month poses no threat to those fearing an assault of a sexual nature cuts little ice with me because the first two such escapees who were found hiding in the outhouses of the agricultural college where my daughter travelled to do her further education class WERE both murderers AND rapists.

Fraser was a nasty little bastard but he wasn’t anything like as formidable as Bronson. Fraser committed some horrible crimes, served his time, and came out to be elevated to some kind of celebrity, with book deals, live appearances, movies, tv.. It was all pretty sickening. Bronson (who, in all honesty, seems to have fallen pretty far short of demonstrating to the Parole Board any recognition of, or regret for, his crimes) will have agents fighting over the chance to represent him. He'd be a millionaire within weeks.

He'd be a millionaire within weeks. I saw a video with our mate John McVicar saying that Fraser was shafted by magazines and such first of all. He said that he advised Fraser to let the magazines and newspapers tell him what their fee was for an interview, refuse it and then tell them what HIS fee was.

Quite possibly, but being an idiot is not a crime.

Quite possibly, but being an idiot is not a crime. I never said it was but being an idiot during his own parole interview gives us a clue of how ready he is to go back into society.
