Seeing all these threads on how the woke Left are trying to rewrite books and expunge our history etc reminds me of what Orwell said in his book 1984:
“Who controls the past controls the future. Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth! ..... The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history!”
It's basically an attempt by the Left to destroy our country and our culture. Even Putin referred to this process in his recent 2 hour speech. He equated it with the moral decay of the West.

Orwell was on the left. He was a socialist. And if anyone thinks that changing a few words in a book is 'Orwellian', they haven't understood his point.

When you put words in Orwell's mouth and manipulate the central message of his works for your own ends, it's you who is being 'Orwellian'. |

We are looking at Orwell at the moment with the Ukraine narrative from the collective west,the so called reporting is Orwellian. |
