But even so there are still kids that will have the top of the range trainers for PE where the porer kids will not. Yeah, you will always have that but imo a standard uniform reduces it to a minimum . We will have to agree to differ on that one mate. |

I agree but we want our kids to be free thinking and not indoctrinated robots....The teachers can make them lower their skirts whilst in school but not on our streets......This regimental look the teachers want is is the first phase of their indoctrination Tbh I support the idea of standard school uniforms . That way the poor kids look the same as the rich kids and there is no pecking order for their attire . The girls in our old school still found ways to show their knickers though . Personally I think it has nothing to do with that, everybody knows each other's social status because shock horror... they interact with each other. School uniform is about control and making people conform. To be fair, it would be a nightmare having to police what people wore if there was no uniform because what teenager doesn't like to push boundaries. |

How old are you dodgydave? Feel free to ignore. I absolutely agree, we're in strange times. The Scottish thing was hilarious and proved to be the downfall of we Jimmy. But as far as I can see, if you slag someone off the most important factor is not what you said. The most important factor is, what colour are you. If you are white, well lets face it you're fucked. But if you are anything other than white, then hellooo, bingo, yahtzee you cant lose. I'm slightly past my peak at 46. To be honest when I talk to my kids and their friends it depresses me how fucking boring they are lol. |

As if by magic. Puffin Books have thus far defended their decision to go woke and alter the text in Roald Dahl books to appease the extreme left. However, it would seem they have had a sudden change of heart. Minutes ago it was announced that Puffin Books will not after all alter the text in Roald Dahl's books. Another sign that we have reached peak woke? I thought the situation now was that both the censored and the uncensored versions of the books were to be produced, with the woke version making it clear it is the woke version. I’m ok with that. I don’t mind people changing what i consider classic works of literature to provide censored versions that declare them to be that. My issue was with the removal of the original from circulation. |
