I'm a democrat, unlike you, SNAT. That doesnt understand demcoracy , doesnt like people voting differently to you , and trys and restricts democracy by putting balls and chains on it and making up rules no one has agreed to.

I advocate future referendums for the 2030s including a referendum on EU membership in 2036. There's a treaty change process going on at present which by then should be resolved. www.europarl.europa.eu/news/en/press-room/20220603IPR32122/parliament-activates-process-to-change-eu-treatiesI advocate a referendum in Northern Ireland in which the UK might lose the province. I will judge the EU of the future, on what the new treaty turns it into. If it becomes a fiscal union, with a united tax system, welfare state and a minimum wage based on the standard of living in the most expensive part of it, and better agricultural and fisheries policies... Dependent on what it becomes, I would consider voting to join it. Even if that meant joining the Euro. An EU that ditches economic Darwinism, I would be a supporter of. You on the other hand are a bad loser. If you were ever to get what you want, you would never offer Scotland another vote on the matter, ever. You advocate joining an organisation that is currently anarcho capitalist. You haven't thought it through. You just hate England.

im merely offering an observation as to what ive always read the brit nat BNP are defined as.......socially far right , economically left... Yeah, I've read the same. But those arguments always boil down to: The BNP are racist therefore they're right wing. And racism clearly isn't the exclusive preserve of the "Far right", unless we're saying that all those Labour anti-Semites are really Far Right?

I advocate a referendum in Northern Ireland in which the UK might lose the province. well at least theres something we can agree on . Tell me though vinny , why do you hate your fellow british in northern ireland , but are desperate to hold onto scotland?
I would have thought the integrity of the entire uk would be something you are supporting , not just parts of it. Hey ho.
Who can work out the crazy world of the kipper , where some are more british than others ?

I was merely commenting that the confusion on where they stand politically may be due to them being seen as socially far right while economically left.
They were generally another anglo party that were largely laughed at in scotland , and dismissed like ukip/brexit party as a mere political abberration and crackpot pressure group no one really took serious.
You can personally define them as you please. I wasnt looking to get involved in an argument about how english people define an english party , however extreme that party is seen.

You're talking about the UVF, the UDA and the UFF and the DUP Thomas. I am allowed to think of them as arseholes.
The island of Ireland is one island. Northern Irish people are Irish people.
The island of Great Britain is one island. Northern British people are as British as Southern British people or Western British people. Hold a vote on the monarchy. If we abolish the monarchy, abolish Scotland, England and Wales as they would no longer be Kingdoms.
Bulldoze Holyrood. Build a casino a sex shop and a lap dancing venue in its place.
Turn Bute house into a tea room.

There are many good decent british people in northern irleand, you know the 6 county part of the uk that you seem to hate who are associated with none of the groups you mention , but whose only fault is they are in your eyes less british than the british elsewhere.
Like i said, who can work out the mind set , and irrational thought process of the kippers in england.

Whatever Tammie, that doesn't mean I have to like the policies or the violence of unionist politicians or paramilitaries. As for the people of Northern Ireland, I support whatever they democratically wish to do. Give them a vote. It's been 50 years since Northern Ireland had a vote on the matter. Two generations have passed. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1973_Northern_Ireland_border_poll

One thing you never considered, is how many Scottish people voted leave, in Wales, Northern Ireland and England....
Democracy was honoured. You lost Tamsin.

That was a UK referendum not a Scottish referendum, albeit a daft way to conduct it by region.

That was a UK referendum not a Scottish referendum, albeit a daft way to conduct it by region. well it wasnt strictly a uk referendum as gibraltar , which isnt in the uk was invloved , and then northern ireland , the 6 county part , got to remain.
Like brexit in its entirety , the whole thing has of course turned out to be an utter embarressment.
Every brexiter red line at the time of the referendum has been smashed into the dust. From uk voting so the uk had to leave , boris johnson then saying hold my beer norn ireland , to brexiters now wanting to join EFTA and accept the four freedoms etc you can see why the public are turnng away from brexiters and they are becoming a laughing stock.
