Selfies are not needed sorry Dan!.........Bikes should be banned from roads between the hours 6am to midnight........I cannot understand why everyone feels the need to share photos of every single aspect of their lives.........Selfie with the crew classic........You'd never catch me on the road on a bike in the UK. Despite all the efforts to get people out of their cars its just not safe. Cars and bikes can't coexist on the same roads.

It’s near suicidal to ride pushbikes down my local country lanes. If the boy racers and OAPs in Kias don’t get then the tractors will.

Motorists and cyclists are both required by law to use due care and attention. Sadly, when motorists fail to comply, the cyclist, who has no metal box around him is almost certain to come off worse. The motorist safe in his metal box, the cyclists so easily can end up in a wooden box.
Oh, and before you start, yes, cyclists are not perfect, they do chance it at red traffic lights; that does not mean they deserve to die.

I cycled off and on to work in the 80s and early 90s and have had a car pull out in front me in Portsmouth (I went into the side), a car door opened in front of me in Eastleigh(I nearly took the door off its hinges with my shoulder), numerous cars and lorries pass me with inches to spare in Hampshire (some becasue they do not care and some due to low morning sunshine blinding them). I cycled in London for a year or so from Canary Wharf to Ilford and never had a problem at all apart from being hit on the lip by a stone thrown by kids and being chased by a dog. London seemed much safer and the worst danger was myself taking risks.

A cyclist is only as safe as everyone else makes them, meaning you can be the safest cyclist in the world but it only takes one act of carelessness or a moments loss of attention from a driver of a car or truck, and you’re in the hospital or worse.

Cyclists and motor cyclists are often only as safe as they make themselves and are among the worst road users ever. I live in the sticks where cyclists ride two, even three abreast and wobble all over the place. The main roads are plagued with lunatic motor cyclists heading towards a favourite meeting place or to Cadwell Park racetrack.
