Initially I laughed, I mean this guy is just another barking eco mentalist, right. But by the end of the short clip I thought, wait a minute, is he a barking eco mentalist, or is he more of a businessman who see's an opportunity? I mean, selling mushroom surf boards may sound mad to sensible people, but to vegan eco surfers it could be a winner, he could make a fortune... ...and by himself a top of the range fibreglass board.

The article makes no mention of veganism but then surely John's OP was a bit tongue in cheek.

My diving days are clearly over given my health but with one if my kids a rabid kayaker and the other a diver as i was, there may be a market. I suppose what really matters is the tensile strength and ability to handle punishment. Would a kayak shell made from this material handle the battering of being paddled to stack rocks or the vibration on the roofbars of a 4x4 getting it to the launch point - a trip involving motorway, dual carriageway and backwoods lanes with potholes …

No it cant be there. That would be an unwarranted intrusion of a money making technology into the lleyn peninsula. The Pot Noidle mines are in Crumlin, across the road from where they generay dynamics make their tanks
