It wasn't that long ago that the UK was tarmacking large areas to accommodate EU transport trying to leave the UK.
It is the required checks on cross border traffic brought about by Brexit which slows down what used to be a fluid passage.

My confusion stems from the fact of my past experience namely the frogs taking every opportunity to fuck the british whenever a UK holiday causes a traffic buildup. Cheers
