I don’t believe in capital punishment on several counts ,one being people being wrongly convicted the other and main reason is that it is a measure of a civilisation how you treat prisoners.
There are circumstances where I believe life imprisonment meaning life is appropriate, imo this sentence is far too short.

PG Wodehouse also talked to Britain from Berlin during WWII in broadcasts arranged by the German propaganda ministry.
He was certainly called a traitor, collaborator, Nazi propagandist, and a coward. Some libraries removed Wodehouse novels from their shelves.
Was he lucky or less deserving of punishment than Haw Haw...?

Would the German propaganda ministry have beamed them to the UK if they weren’t judged to be helpful…

They were intended to show life in Germany wasn't so bad. As the Germans had imprisoned him it's amazing that he fell for their line that they were just interested in giving him a medium for his stories.
Haw haw on the other hand . . . .
But killing an unarmed prisoner in cold blood on a legal pretext is not something we should ever be proud of. Far from it.

There were quite a few Nazi collaborators from Britain, rightwingers and Aristocrats,John Amerey he was executed for treason, then there were the Mitford Sisters beguiled with Hitler,Lord Rothermere who owned the Daily Mail was a bloody Nazi supporting the Blackshirts and urging Hitler to invade other Countries, some things don't change the Mail supports Nazis in Ukraine today, then there were a few British and commonwealth POWs who joined the Waffen SS,just a few i am glad to say.

Hope the traitors helping Putin die in HIMARS strikes, eviscerated, besides themselves, regretting ever taking the blood roubles.

No they are not because we are not at war with Russia, not officially anyway, they report from the other side in Donbass something the bastards in the MSM have not done in 9 years, does that not strike you as strange?those MSM excuses for reporters have been pimped out by the Empire, total disgrace.

There have already been radiological terrorist acts committed on British soil by Putin's agents. Putin is at war with us as much as we did not want to be at war with him.
He is an enemy dictator and any friend of his is an enemy of the UK.
If you will not condemn our enemy, you will be assumed to be an agent of his.
We know he has propagandists.
A Putin propagandist is the enemy. The enemy is at war with us.

Some libraries removed Wodehouse novels from their shelves. Was he lucky or less deserving of punishment than Haw Haw... He was none of those things according to an account of his life In 1934 Wodehouse moved to France for tax reasons; in 1940 he was taken prisoner at Le Touquet by the invading Germans and interned for nearly a year, he allowed out of Prison and was allowed to access his bank account to pay for his accommodations in a Hotel After his release he made six broadcasts from German radio in Berlin to the US, which had not yet entered the war. The talks were comic and apolitical, but his broadcasting over enemy radio prompted anger and strident controversy in Britain, and a threat of prosecution however he was not prosecuted Wodehouse never returned to England. From 1947 until his death he lived in the US, taking dual British-American citizenship in 1955
