Reminds me of me. My cave is down the garden. Mrs R does get a bit miffed if I spend too much time down here which is why I don't kick the arse out of it, usually lol. On a serious note, a few years ago the police were searching for someone, a criminal, in a Birmingham suburb. It was the early hours of the morning and the streets were empty. The police helicopter was sent up and started searching the area using infra red. The helicopter almost immediately reported dozens of heat sources in lots of garden sheds. It transpired that immigrants were living in garden sheds, dozens and dozens of them, and this was a few years ago. A Chinese restaurant in Spalding was homing shitloads of Chinese in a shed behind the takeaway. They were heavily fined but it didn't stop them doing it again and getting fined again.

We have an outside living space But I'm not allowed a cave. I have an art room in the house where I can be monitored LOl.

Yes I remember reading about similar situations in areas of London. We really need to get on top of immigration.

My cave is my sanctuary, I'd be lost without it I absolutely love it. But your pic looks very nice ZG, I imagine you have some good times down there in the summer.

We love it, spend most of the summer out there. Got an outside kitchen and dining area, love to knock up a bbq have a glass or two, play cards, play music. Can't wait for this weather to go. Still a lot to be said for a man cave, I'm jealous.

I just went to the dwelling to speak to Mrs R (We should have 2 way radios lol) and she was watching Star Trek I think! Which is why I'm in my cave.

The tenements in Glasgow were initially the dwellings of well to do artisans and as they were subdivided and sublet, specifically against the law in many areas, they gradually became what had been cleared to build them. We are on the same path as a house for one will soon become a house for three or four and then subdivided so that the bathroom, a luxury for one, will become shared amongst seven or eight. Population increases and the lack of housing will almost certainly guarantee this outcome. Perhaps if we controlled our population increase it may not happen, so realistically it is a dead cert to happen. That's interesting Sandy, I didn't know that. I think its to early to say we are copying that event. Do you have any suggestions as to how we help those who are currently sofa surfing or having to share rented accommodation? It is adding two brace of ones and getting four. A 15 minute city requires a dense population to work effectively, cars are being 'phased out' for the hoi polloi as anything other than an occasional luxury event, population increase is well underway through immigration both legal and illegal and all will demand families to be allowed in as well, complaints are deemed racist. 4 of course equals a subservient, controlled, diverse populace with more antipathy within their ranks than against those running their lives. That seems to be coming to fruition quite nicely.

Do you have a tele in the man cave or do you sit in your wingback chair in your smoking jacket with a pipe and a glass of port musing on the world.

There is indeed a tele in the cave, which is where I watch the snooker, she's not big on snooker bless her. Having said that I am on occasion partial to a glass of port, and although I don't own a smoking jacket or a pipe, rumour has it I sometimes wear a dressing gown until noon*. Yes indeed ZG, it's life on the edge at Rackham Towers. * Unless she wants to go shopping, as she did this morning. Enough said about that.

One has to make some concessions to the washing and ironing fairy. I used to enjoy a game of snooker a few years back, must seek out my old mate Pete and have a pint and a game.
