As recently became public knowledge, the govt has an operation called the 77th Brigade, which is intended to counter "disinformation" warfare. It's obvious that this type of non-lethal warfare can cause huge damage to countries so it makes sense that we should be aware of it and take measures to counter it.
Obvious examples that come to mind are where Russia was accused of interference in UK and USA elections. But what if the current Western obsession with "Net Zero" is another example of foreign countries attempting to damage the West? In the UK they have managed to destroy our self-sufficiency in energy production - and many European countries (like Germany) have become dependent on Russia for gas. And any attempt to reinstate reliable energy (like gas) in the UK is met with fierce opposition from the Left. We've even put it into law that we will become "Net zero" by 2050 - which we have never done any costing for, but some estimate as running into trillions. Meanwhile countries like the USA, Russia, China etc have made no commitment to do anything about CO2. What if this whole CO2 Global Warming is a big hoax - as Trump says - and we're stupid enough to have fallen for it - mainly because of our Lefties and liberals?
I don't normally believe in conspiracy theories but it was obvious from the start that the Covid outbreak was caused by experimentation on bat viruses for "gain of function" - yet the scientific and medical bodies called it a conspiracy theory and the BBC gave no air time to the theory, except to say that it was false. The same is happening with "Climate Change" where the BBC have refused to give airtime to those who challenge the current orthodoxy. Also the govt seems to have the ability to influence search engines to make sure certain views are relegated to the lower pages (which no one reads).
What do you reckon?
Post script: I also remember a speech that Juncker gave a few years ago on Britain leaving the EU where he said that "The UK does NOT need the EU" - which was quite surprising. I have it on DVD. Yet recordings of the speech were very rapidly doctored to remove the "NOT". It was very sinister.
