More delusions from the frequent source^ From one of your favourite rags 'Starmer exchanged insurance information with the cyclist - who was described by an onlooker as 'in a lot of pain' on the ground - before leaving him in the care of paramedics, who took him to hospital with an injured arm.'Slostammer left the scene then before plod arrived....

Ahem, point of order: You have to remain at the scene for a reasonable time. ie long enough to give your details to anyone that might require them.
You also need to report the accident if anyone is injured.
And it sounds like Starmer complied with both.

I just read through my shiny new policy mate......And it states that I have to remain at the scene of an accident if a thrid party is injured unto the plod arrive....So it may be different from other insurance providers

What your insurance requests and what the law requires are two entirely different things.

What your insurance requests and what the law requires are two entirely different things.Agreed but it could invalidate a policiy if you do not stick to the terms of individual insurance providers....

They may well do, my friend. However there are very few circumstances where an insurance company can invalidate a policy after a road traffic collision. The law is very strict on that, otherwise no one would ever get paid out.

Doesn't sound like she admitted it otherwise she would have paid £100 fixed penalty. She was doing 49 in a 40 limit. There are 2 reasons to go to court: Not accepting a FPN. 2. Having too many points on the licence to give a FPN means a court hearing. It's not clear why it happened, but maybe she's a serial speeder? Or not responding to a fpn.

The minimum penalty for speeding is a £100 fine and three penalty points will be added to your licence.
The letter should arrive within 14 days, and then you’ll need to return the completed Section 172 notice within 28 days.
Then you’ll be sent a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN), or a letter instructing you to go to court.
If you receive an FPN then you can choose to plead guilty or not guilty.
Pleading guilty means you’re accepting the fine and some points being added to your licence, unless you’re given the option to attend a speed awareness course.
You might be offered a speed awareness course if this is your first time you’ve been caught speeding, or the last time you went on a speeding course was more than three years ago. But just to be aware, a speed awareness course will require payment to take parts in a new window, a typical course could cost around £85.
If you plead not guilty and are then found guilty, the fines and points you’ll get will probably be higher.
PS FPN's are sent to the Registered Keeper of the vehicle
