This means that a man who (say) raped, tortured and dismembered multiple women might expect, with a little effort and charm, to sire dozens of children by multiple women during his stay in prison
Perhaps it's the least we can do and it allows these people to have a legacy, even if it is going to be almost entirely at our expense.

I am not so much concerned about this particular case as about your general obsession with executions. It's ghoulish. And, if executions were reintroduced, that would lead to the death of innocent people. I think you and I are going to have to agree to disagree. You clearly feel it necessary to allow self confessed and wuite obviously guilty murderers such as the chap on Canynge Road and the drug peddlers on Munnings drive to live to be released to kill again. I find your obsession with keeping such people breathing and ready to kill again a serious concern threatening society. And I find your repeated references to hangings distasteful and ghoulish. Pierrepoint himself said he did not believe hanging to be a deterrent. So, the only effect is that people wrongly convicted will die. Nothing else is achieved. |

I'm in favour of reducing rape in prisons. If there is a method of doing that without conjugal visits, I would be just as happy to see that introduced. |
