It looks like the Lords are going to try to scupper the Bill that allows the government to repeal EU laws. The Lords are 99% remainers so they're going to try to prevent the bill giving the govt the power to scrap the laws that we no longer need. They think it should be Parliament that votes on each law - which would obviously slow everything down and probably cause great difficulties because the opposition parties would all vote against repealing any laws (on principle) and there are so many remainers in the Tory party that they would never be allowed to repeal any laws.
It looks to me very much like our Remainer politicians are STILL determined to destroy Brexit - and democracy. Bastards.

How can you destroy an abject failure?

Leaving wasn't a failure. Leaving is an opportunity remoaners don't want to take advantage of.

Leaving wasn't a failure. Leaving is an opportunity remoaners don't want to take advantage of. It has nothing to do with 'remoaners'. If there were benefits we would know about it by now but there are none.

Course there are benefits. We've left the EU, got an independent voice, an independent foreign policy an independent sanctions policy, an independent trade policy, an independent legal system, more choice at the ballot box in the policies we can be governed by. Farmers have a bigger share of the UK market and sales of local produce have improved. We have more choice on taxes. We don't have to levy VAT on tampons anymore, we could abolish tax on booze if we wanted to.
Now, democratically speaking, you're a leftie, until recently EU competition laws have mandated open markets rather than state run monopolies.
That in practice has resulted in the privatisations you are vehemently against.
Until recently wholly renationalising things like the railways, was something you could only dream of. But now, as an independent country, it is a democratic option for you to make a case for.
It is something you could not do in the EU.
