We were the best fibua troops in the world, we were better than the Israelis. It took years to get to that level to train thousands of troops, but all that skill has gone. All those guys are civvies now. If Northern Ireland or some other mass civil disturbance kicked off today, I'm not sure the woke authorities would have the backbone to stop it. |

I never took much notice, this sort of thing is fine in the current political climate but once the EU get their own way, they will soon stamp it out.You will only be waving the stars without the stripes.But in the meantime it suits political ends.

Senator Biden's vocal, and no doubt financial, support for NORAID and Irish Republicanism goes back to the 1970's, as does his dislike of the English. |

Friends of mine once formed a band and they became pretty popular. They had their normal set list and they would play it wherever they went, but one song was about the IRA. The first two lines went "We are the IRA / We turn blue skies to grey", and so it went on taking the piss. Everyone loved it until the band was booked by an Irish landlord of a totally Irish pub. That was proper rock n roll.
