Nope . It’s just reality . Some thing that the Scot Nats are woefully short of . Rishi is cosying up the the EU. It could end up with the Scots all dressed up and nowhere to go😁 im happy about that bentley. If scotland cant be independent , then neither can england , so we can both be happy going back to being european citizens.
Either way , scottish or european , its looking like the end of the road for you bwitish. Perhaps instead of being englands council building , westmisnter can become a museum , and we can give rishi a job as a ticket inspector on the door?
Im so looking forward to being a european citizen , living in a european region , having a european passport again , living under european law and courts.
I think we should also ditch the monopoly money that is the pound , and start using the euro. What do you think my fellow european?
Well who knows where the new relationship with the EU will end up? We might just live cordially along each other or we might renew our vows. Or we might decide that we don’t like threesomes and leave the Scots out in the cold 😁

Once you come crawling back and repent , we can then brush aside your red lines , and impose all the full eu laws and rules without any of the anglo saxon exceptionalism and then forget about your little tantrums.
Its good to see you are having second thoughts about brexit bentley. It does seem to chime with the polls. Sir keir will welcome you aboard the european bus.
as for scotland...
“The EU would accept an independent Scotland’s application to join the bloc “within 10 seconds”, according to internatioonal respected economist, Yanis Varoufakis, professor and former Greek finance minister,. He argues the European Union would want to “seize the opportunity” to show up the UK by welcoming Scotland in.

‘We’?😁 The penny hadn’t dropped that it’s not about me having second thoughts . It’s about events overtaking the Scot Nat dream . The teenager who wants to leave home to live with Auntie might find Dad in bed with Auntie when they get there 😉

Are we talking about the desperation among labour and tory politicians in England trying to find a way back into the EU without upsetting Englands brexiters?
If you are , im all ears. Its going to be fun listening to yet another round of british press releases talking about how you can cherry pick the single market without having any of the cons. You know , in line with the subject of this thread and repeated revising of the protocol which is always on the agenda but never seems to happen outside of tory la la land.

Yiunkeep, asking me questions about things that you claim .not me. If you read the words in my posts instead of the ideas in your head , it would be a good start for you 😉 The subject if the thread is ‘ has the NI protocol been solved?. I’ve already answered that. Maybe you were too interested in making up ideas in your head about desperate Tories ( or some other old bollocks) and trying to pass it off as fact to notice 😁

Thats the definition of trolling.
So lets move back to the op. Has the NIP been solved? The answer clearly is no.
I mean how long can the tories and thier right wing supporters keep punting jam tomorrow and unicorns?
According to the polls , not for much longer...
General Election Prediction
Current Prediction: Labour majority 250

So as you posted” Are we talking about the desperation among labour and tory politicians in England trying to find a way back into the EU without upsetting Englands brexiters?”…is this you admitting that you are a troll ? 😁 Maybe you can back up your obsession with Nigel Farage with proof that he is the spokesman for Brexiters ? No? Then you must be trolling, right? You whine about me not sticking to the OP then post a general election ‘ prediction’ lol. Ive already answered the question in the OP , Quite a few posts back too. Meanwhile Sunak is working with the EU to find a solution to the problems with the NI protocol and to find a better working relationship. The SNP must be desperate for him to fail. You seem to be 😁

As you were unwilling to answer my earlier question , and seemed intent on deflecting i thought i would move the discussion on.
So i will pick out part of your post worth responding to and try from there.
We have been hearing this now for ages it seems with different english prime ministers at westmisnter. The tories seem to be negotiating with themselves , no one else , so they can give empty press releases through the right wing british media to make it appear to their followers like yourself they are actually doing something when they are doing zilch.
The eu have said they aent interested in renegotiating the protocol. Tory brexiters have said its a disaster. The northern irish unionists are saying they arent happy with it.
So here we are. Another day in tory la la land , with bentley and co lapping up the bullshit. Im guessing its going to take a general election wipe out to wake you up , and possibly even maybe not then.

I quoted you , so you admit you posted bullshit? You seem to be running away from your own assertions . Maybe you would like to justify the quote and your claim that Farage has great influence on Brexit voters and politicians before you whine about me . There is no English PM . They are all UK PMs . Seems like to are posting your fantasies again. Meanwhile the UK government is working towards a mutual solution to the problems with the EU and the SNP is irrelevant to anyone but themselves .

lol. Just been reading a bit about this...
Inside the deal: How the EU got Brexit done, is by Stefaan De Rynck, an aide to the EU’s chief negotiator Michel Barnier.
"De Rynck had a box seat for the entire Brexit farce, starring a motley cast of inept British cabinet ministers in laugh-a-minute performances that usually ranged between Johnny English and Mr Bean. ".
"The sheer deviousness and effort that British ministers and diplomats and negotiators put in to try and retain all the single market benefits except freedom of movement, was incredible. ".
" According to a review of the book by former Labour MP Denis MacShane, at one point May visited Lars Løkke Rasmussen, the Danish PM, and sat opposite him without saying a word for some minutes. Finally, he tried to help her: “Tell me Theresa, what do you actually want from the EU?”
'She fired cryptically back at the Anglophile Rasmussen: “Read my speeches.” The Danish ambassador in the UK who was present at the time told MacShane that his boss had no idea of how to handle May. “She is the oddest person I have ever dealt with in Europe”, he confided in his ambassador later.
The story captures Britain’s approach to Brexit perfectly. All we had to do was keep shouting louder and eventually a European waiter would deliver what we wanted.".
"According to De Rynck, Johnson “tried to get an exemption for ‘West-East declarations’ as he called them, the customs exit declarations for goods leaving the EU that apply from Northern Ireland to Great Britain”, urging Juncker, who was surrounded by colleagues at the time, to drop the checks altogether, presumably fearing the DUP’s reaction would be the same as May had experienced in the most humiliating possible way two years before.
“That was impossible”, Juncker told him, a cigarette in one hand and the phone in the other. “They are part of the Union’s custom code and your negotiators agreed the code applies in full to Northern Ireland.”
"When in 2018 we put forward a three-page summary of a ‘maximum facilitation’ proposal for the Irish land border which was said to be of “bewildering complexity” it was shown to Robert Lighthizer, Donald Trump’s trade supremo, who was vastly experienced in the WTO. Having read it and concluded it made no sense, he asked Michel Barnier, “How do you deal with these people?”

Without rebate (and we wouldn't get a rebate if we rejoined) EU membership would cost £20bn a year. Scotland only sells £17.7bn a year to the EU.
Not worth it.

The eu was already our biggest customer in many areas such as distilled spirits fuels chemicals etc , and having acces to a market of 500 million is far better than having access to a mrket of a mere 55 million. When we join the EU , we will have access to all the eu trade deals around the world you dont have , plus the same trade deal with you the EU has.
A far better opportunity to grow our economy as ireland has done outside backward isolationist little england than being under its rule.
On top of that , it will be the joy of once again becoming an eu citizen , and being part of our eu union. You seperatists should not be able to drag scotland away from the EU against scotlands majority pro european view.
