The fucking eternally offended are pushing us normal ones over the edge and it is going to kick off big time one day. And just to add to that some pricks in parliement are now moaning about the royal coach used for coronations as they are trying to link that to slavery. I agree, it is getting ridiculous. But I don't think it will last for much longer. The cult of BLM died and the signs are that woke is slowly going the same way. Hands up anyone who's surprised. I used to like the golliwogs on the jam labels but you try and purchase a golliwog these days FFS

And guess what, we never got a fekin gollie badge. It took so long to collect ten paper gollies that we never remembered where we put them. That was more than 50 years ago, and I still remember it.

you are catching on....
no its not. The perception of moderate is differnt in each person. They decide , not you or your party , what they think is moderate according to their beliefs.
I believe for example you are more extreme politically then some on here....
its only a problem for you when it differs to you and your parties definition , and you dont have blind unthinking agreement.
If only all the voting public were as daft as new labour and their cult supporters , elections would be a walk in the park for them.
I already knew that's why I pointed it out, I'm waiting for you to catch on. __"The perception of moderate is differnt in each person." --- Yes as you yourself prove. BUT you cannot make black into white or vice versa just because you have a different opinion. Which is what you attempt to do. No all im attempting to do is tell you that you and your party arent the arbiters of what is or isnt moderate. We the voting public are.
That why you have been out of power going on 16 years in scotland , 13 years in the yookay , and generally tend to lose elections more than you win them.

I see the grey matter working 'how do I get out of this one'. Let's imagine for a moment that she meant what she said, would it have been a bad thing that the left would not welcome? She didn't stipulate one particular area. Got any more ideas on how to avoid her words? I argue in defense of moderate politics, that's what I do. You have argued for less moderate politics and that is more divisive as New Labour proved. You need to remember that Old Labour made a habit of polishing the opposition benches, all one can do from there is to watch the increased suffering imposed by the less moderate Tories. With the help of you voting Tory obviously. And this designation of old Labour and New Labour is well past it's sell by date. So called New Labour is nearly 3 decades old now and formulated to deal with the problems of 1997. What you are deriding as Old Labour in 2017 came up with a very up to date manifesto designed to deal with up to date problems, a moderate social democratic set of policies. Yet you chose to vote Tory instead whilst laughably calling yourself the moderate. Moderation doesn't change. The term existed before NL and it still exists today. It's just unfortunate that some people are unable to understand either the term itself or the political value of it. I voted Tory because the Tory I voted for had a very moderate approach, a Center Right Tory. I will vote for any moderate who is looking at the full political picture, and I would do that because it is the rational thing to do. Whereas you are stuck with a Left-Wing, opposition bench polishing, helping no one approach. Good intentions wasted on a weak and all too often defeated political approach. As clearly shown by our political history over the last 70 years.

Personally, I try and avoid the Guardian and the Independent, and basically most of what Google's left wing corpo algorithms try and force down our throats. I don't believe I am superior for doing so, but it helps to prevent nausea, especially from those tediously arrogant opinion pieces. I'm missing nothing because the same handful of daily stories are repeated across all mainstream corpo media.

And I am telling you that New Labour was a party that was more moderate than what went before it. You can duck and dive as much as you want, you cannot alter that fact. Quite rambling, NL have only lost ONE ELECTION and that is a fact. NL ceased to exist in 2010. So stop your biased exaggerations and try landing on planet earth for once.

Bair only got in in 1997 because everyone was sick of the tories , not because people saw new labour moderate. I could have won in 1997 if i was opposite the tories heading the monster raving loony party .
New labours record in government was extreme , including causing the financial crises and blowing up the uk economy....not to mention the bonfire of civil liberties ................

She was referring only to the public sector as a way of restraining top pay in the public sector only. Stop trying to pretend otherwise. And its a rather pathetic excuse for voting Tory, an act which lends total credence to the reality that you Blairite types and Tories are indeed ideological bedfellows. Now you are here singing the praises of Theresa May to justify voting against Labour's moderate 2017 manifesto. You are in fact like most of your ilk a traitor to the cause of genuinely progressive politics. If someone who voted Tory in 2017 thinks Starmer is wonderful, that's yet another reason not to trust him with my vote. She referred to CEOs If you are claiming that it only referred to Public Sector CEOs then please prove your claim, I am always willing to learn.

I'm not interested in you OPINIONs or your misconstrued LIES. Member of discussion forum not interested in opinions of other members of discussion forum... Not when such opinions have been rebutted a number of times but still get repeatedly regurgitated. Not difficult to understand when one thinks about it.
