I have mentioned the Internet - we like that. But there was a time when there was no internet. When my kids were young we had to go grocery shopping. I didn't like it then either but I had I had a strategy. I produced an Excel sheet with all the items we ever used. We picked out the ones we need for that week and off we went. Each of the kids were tasked to specific items. And I gave each one had treat. We got it all done in about 20 minutes.

Shopping with any woman is a bloody nightmare in my experience. Start at one end of the high street and she sees a pair of shoes or something she likes. 45 minutes later and you're at the other end of the high street - she's still trying on shoes at every shop that sells them, then it's back to the first shop you went in and she buys the first pair she liked and tried on. No thanks. If you've never spent ages trailing around behind a woman who can't make up her mind then you've never been married. Well I'm just back from shopping with Mrs K. Twas a bit of a laugh mostly plus we stopped for an enjoyable coffee which turned into a light snack with coffee and yes a show shop was visited. Your generic 'any woman' rather suggests you've not met many. Maybe you should get out more - like going shopping with an intelligent woman.

That's why we sit in the warm ordering the shopping every week while you tramp round the shops in the cold wind and rain pretending it's fun to have an over priced cup of coffee in Costas or Starbucks out of the cold.

Actually I bought two, never a good look using straws to share one coffee cup with Mrs K For about the price of two coffees you could have shared a perfectly acceptable bottle of Shiraz during a romantic evening with your wife.
